Turkey Eyes Offensive Missiles to Boost Deterrence

In 2012, Erdoğan said, "Iran have missiles that have 2000-2500 km range, our missiles have a range of 150 km at max. This is not acceptable. He have to improve"

That's the only official statement....from these sentences everybody speculated.

The main point is SOM have 300km range, J-600T have range of 150 km. So, it seemed like it's a reference for ballistic missile. But could be a cruise missile. No one knows for sure.

From what i heard....officials do not lean on ballistic missiles....i heard directly from an official when we were talking about ballistic missiles. "There is no need for us to develop ballistic missiles as we don't have Nukes, ballistic missile only gains a meaning with nuclear warheads, so what we need is accuracy"....

But we also have a SLV project....Balistic Missiles and SLV uses same technology....so, i don't know but these news are pure speculations from what Erdoğan said in 2012.

A country which can produce missiles with 1000 km range can for sure exceed this range. Let it be a state secret.

If Turkey wants to develop offensive missiles, then Pakistan sure can help Turkey. Pakistan has extensive experience with missiles.

.
We are under threat. Right time to develop some big azz missiles.

Non-Prof means not to sell or distribute that technology !
That'all.
You can develop all you want.

I think Demir mean the Development of Long - Range Cruise Missiles with 1500 2500 km Range that can reach Targets deep inside Russia.

Do you see collaboration with Pakistan as a potential possibility in ballistic missile technology?

Just for peaceful purposes like energy needs or so. Otherwise you would sustain sanctions.

Turkey and Pakistan collaboration history has a wider range and depth than known.

. .
Are there any treaties preventing Turkey from developing a nuclear deterrent now or in the future?

For Turkey ? Just a joke.

Not now (2016), but in 20 years, 25 years... ;)

They developed from the 90's. Why should they present them ? Be sure that enemies know about them and that's one of the reasons they control their agressiveness. We have a special thread Turkish nukes related.
