A mysterious truck with an alleged cargo of arms and humanitarian aid en route to Syria and escorted by Turkish intelligence officers has pitted the government against the judiciary after the local governor ordered security forces to stop executing a search warrant ordered by prosecutors, local media have reported.

“There are Turkmens [in Syria]. There is aid destined for Turkmens in the truck,” Interior Minister Efkan Ala told reporters in Parliament on Thursday. He also asked “everybody to mind their own business.”

Not so fast speedy gonzales

Turkish interior minster, Efkan Ala: Wagon was humanitarian aid for turkmen

Turkish customs and trade minister, Hayati Yazici : We do not have any information about the truck you are speaking of. No such truck crossed our borders

Syria Turkmen Parliament chairman, Hussein el Abdullah: There has never been sent any aid for Turkmen. Not this time either

So we have an interior minister who says they sent aid to the turkmens. We have a customs minister who says there never was such aid truck to cross the border into Syria. And then we have the turkmens leader himself saying that there is no such truck and Turkey never sent them humanitarian aid.

Plus one minister who says those trucks were sent for Turkmens of Syria and one media report which claims Turkish security forces seized a truck laden with weapons bound for Syria. Pick one..And yet you were too quick to judge..Next..

Quick to say next, not so quick to answer questions. It must be the turkish norm i guess. Not being able to criticize your own country. Let us see if you are equally willing to say ''next'' when these weapons are turned against your own people.

Its clearly you didnt read the thread about the last corruption operations.
We do criticize our country if there is something to criticize, but what do you think
what our reaction is to someone who only comes out of his hole if there is something to blame on Turkey?

Your only on PDF to portray Turkey as evil, do you really think that any Turk will take you serious to have a propper discussion with you?

Turks do not need to take me seriously. All they have to do is to admit that their government and their state is arming al qaeda elements on the other side of the border. There has been numerous reports about this from the outside.

This is the first report coming from Turkey itself. From Turkish medias themselves. Which is quite a big shock for me since most media outlets are controlled by the government ( one only has to go back to Gezi incidents to draw this conclusion). Is it a co incidence that this first TURKISH report of Turkey arming al qaeda elements comes while there is a raging war between AKP and Gulen? I think not. And seeing as Zaman ( Gulen affiliated media) was the first big Turkish news outlet to share this, it makes very good sense. We can only hope that the rift between AKP and Gulen grows bigger so that more truth can come forth. This is just one incident and im sure your PM is scared to bones about the revealed truths to come.

I never understood this standing up for and defending your country even when it does extremely stupid things. What has it yielded turkey up until now to constantly defend your country no matter what? You should have criticized erdogan 11 years ago. Not today. Today it is too late. He already has 50% of the population support.
