So they make everything except whats shown in the propganda picture i sent
How is that a 93% domestic production?

Turkish products are not on par with Russian products? 😄😄😄

It is globally known Turkish defence products are on par with American. One example when Turkish pistols such as Canik and Sar entered US market they dethroned the renowned Glock in very short time.

Turkiye is working on engines of all sizes and types when these are ready its exports will skyrocket. Helicopters, Tanks even fighters will be sold these will be billion dollar deals.
Good luck. I dont mind Turkey producing weapons. I just oppose the nationalistic chest thumping based on mostly propaganda and wishful thinking.

I saw an article about the Bayraktar drone. Just about anything but the frame was build outside Turkey. Engine, fuel pump, surveilience and target system, radio transmitter, copy of bomb rack, thermal batteries for smart micro monition, radar altimeter, fuel filter, navigation radio, GPS reciever, airborne modem to transfer video, various chips, antenna.. the list was long.
Its impossible to manufacture anything modern without foreign parts. We all specialize in something, and put together you have something like a drone. Russian drones is a mix of US, EU and Asian parts too.

My guess is that Turkey rely on imported parts.

Then why did 28 countries ordered Bayraktar TB2's if its so simple let them buy some foreign parts and put a drone together why buy Bayraktar and not make your own? 😄😄

How is that related to the fact that foreign parts are used in the drone?

Israel gets the blueprints of all kind of US weapons and on top of that you get 3 billion dollars support annually. If that was Turkiye in your place yes we would surpass them.
I doubt it.

Israel doesn't get blueprints, 3 billion dollars annually isn't much at all considering the amount of money the US spends on simply housing soldiers in NATO and major non NATO allies

I think the problem is you're just a bit jealous. You always thought Turkiye is a backward 3rd world country now we're in 2022 and things didnt work out as you expected.

Just saying, Elbit has done 800 million dollar worth of contracts within a day.

But good for Turkey.

How it is related is this if its so easy as ordering foreign parts to build a drone every country would build their own drone like Bayraktar and not order from elsewhere.

What do you doubt about most of your strategic weapons such as Arrow ads are made with cooperation from US. You get F16's and you're the only country allowed to use own software and your own weapons on it getting the sourcecodes same story with F35.

More examples like that

You guys start to sound like Russia. Youre the victem now. Outsiders are jealous, they want to destroy us.
Authoritarian countries always need an external enemy to blame. I guess “the West” is an easy target.

Elbit and the others are decades in this business and they became giants meanwhile Turkish defence industry is at beginning stage i mean we just started there is lot of potential to grow. Next 5 years will be much much better.

Where did I say its easy to build a drone? I said they rely on foreign parts and technology.

Tens of thousands of companies, a workforce of more than 100,000, a sector that exports to 176 countries as of 2021 and whose exports are growing by 30% on average every year represents an important industrial performance for us. This cluster shows its solid and strong nature that has reached the efficiency to run our own submarine, fighter, ucav etc programs, and allowing us to already develop and produce our own military satellites, air defense systems and strategic attack systems.

We do not claim that Turkiye is the country with the best opportunities in the world in this field. However, we are at a very good point in terms of resource efficiency in the new strategy that was actually oriented after the 1974 embargo, and especially started after the 2004 defense industry executive committee decisions. And frankly, while the industry reports and battle proven products are clear, it's a ludicrous endeavor to create another fictitious story here.

When the 2035 strategic roadmap of the SSB and the 2033 strategic reports of the forces are examined, our aim is to end foreign dependency in the field of defense and security. Export success is a side output, not the main focus, of these efforts.
