Turkey, China set eyes on $100 bln in mutual trade

it should be conditional with stopping the support of east turkistan terror movement

because it gets a lot of support from pan turk nationalists

Involvement of Turkey will have a stabelizing impact regarding the Uygur issues, atm i suppose there are other outside actors who willing to enflame the situation, not Turkey.

I like the idea of the nuclear power plant but to be honest I dont trust Chinese technology.

haha, don't worry. Chinese nuclear plants ain't toys. they won't break down in some days!

.
100 bln in mutual trade, statements like this make a good headline. But we dont have anything or not much to offer to China, which means we will import more and more from China (with the current account deficit growing).

i dont think it is a short-term planing; 100 bln in "8 years"

as we all know he is going to be the guy in power in China by the end of this year! after US and "ireland" he came to Turkey! and it seems this visit not just has a symbolic meaning! China sees us a kind of future "logistic center" !!!
we should also consider the importance of the southern rail way route from bejing through bosborous to the heart of Europe!

.
No offense but, Turkish and Iranian people start fighting on every thread. Is it some thing innate ?

You do know Chinese nuclear reactor designs are licensed from the French in 1990's right?

.
I just want to make sure we get the highest standards and France reactors are not perfect. Just a few days ago there was an incident in the Cattanom reactor right across the German border.

Now what I would love to have is some nice, clean and safe Thorium reactors the Chinese are working on.

We have a substantial amount of Thorium reserves here in Turkey, so I agree that we should build Thorium reactors whether with China or any other country that has experience with Thorium reactors.

. .
It means: Turkey export to China = 10 € mrd, China export to Turkey = 90 € mrd

.
I think that we're looking at this far too myopically because not only does Turkey and China have a lot to offer each other in terms of Imports and Exports, but also, Turkey being a Western, Muslim majority country with her clout amongst the Muslim countries and in Europe has a lot to offer and to receive from China, the next big Superpower of the World. So this is probably a lot more than just economics...I think.
