A sad reality is that Idlib for 90% is controlled by HTS (alqaeda) and other Alqaeda affiliates. And this includes Idlib city as well. Turkey's meddling in another soveirgn country (for whatever reason, strategic or a self acclaimed noble cause) is a disaster in the making in this case. Helping Al-Qaeda (including the splinter groups who beheaded children live on internet) defend a city just to keep the bargaining chip in hand in region will at best lead to the same dillema which Pakistan faced in late 90's or early 2000's.
Revamping refugee crisis (though forceful and some times manipulated/encouraged by Turkish authorities) on European borders and trying to secure a deal to get a share in Gas field in sea by keeping a Muslim African country divided is another thing. But nurturing extremisim and terrorists for strategic goals is a price too high which we at Pakistan came to learn the hard way.
My heart beats with Turkish brothers and i admire strong Islamic statesman like Erdogan, but one just has to call a spade a spade, that Turkey is being a negative player/influence in all three current ongoing conflicts.
