Correct me if im wrong but didnt we make our first Russian aircraft experience with Mi-17's, it wasnt very pleasant iirc.

Well it was already Russia when the chopper were sent for modernization and never came back or came back with years of delay, i dont remember fully.

Dont remember the reason just that the choppers had been sent to Russia for revision, they had been partially disassebled and left in a yard for years. I dont even know if they are back or Turkey just gave up on them.

We didnt buy them,Russia(Soviet Union) owed us money so we got some Mi-17s instead.

Dont remember the exact amount but i believe 19,it was a long time ago(in the 90s).

The Russian Federation had a debt of $65 million to the Turkish EximBank,the debt was paid with 19 Mi-17 helicopters(1992/1999).

If there was no deal then they are not obligated to deliver Mi-17.

Turkey? i doubt it, cuz they are Nato and western country. Turkey will have to ditch nato first i think. Could be Pakistan that has purchased them, but our finances are not that great at the moment.

india has alot of money and they have use for Su-35.
Malaysia? or even North African country like Egypt or algeria could be one.

the problem is you wait for "whites" Approval. anyways it would be great to Have Turkey in Muslim or Eastern Block. Turkey is very strong and very powerful nation in every aspect! also people are very nice and brotherly towards pakistaniz especially. it would be awesome if Turkey Ditches Nato. and joins Russo-china Alliance of necessity.
