Turkey: After the S-400 wants to buy the Patriot air defence system

I think they negotiate with US about patriot for fak them shut up probably we wont buy that rubbish system.

.
ANKARA - Turkish Defense Minister Noureddine Ganikli said on Wednesday that his country had made offers to procure US "Patriot" missile defense system.

This came during his answer to the questions of MPs in a meeting to discuss the budget of the Ministry of Defense in Parliament.

The Turkish minister added that Ankara had agreed to "buy the S-400 (Russian) missile system. On the other hand, we started working with Eurosam (a French-Italian company) to develop systems with the same characteristics, and in parallel we made offers to procure Patriot."

Ganikli pointed out that there are efforts to make Turkey and the rest of the countries of the region up for grabs, and added: "This situation put Turkey in front of significant security risks." In this regard, he stressed the importance of increasing the resources allocated to the defense, stressing that it is inevitable.

Control of the S-400 missile defense system would be entirely in Turkey's hands.

In response to a question about the deployment of the S-400, the Turkish minister said, "We will deploy it wherever we need it." He pointed out that the system "S 400" will not meet all the needs of Turkey, because of the length of the border and the expansion of areas threatened. Earlier in the day, Ganikli explained that his country plans to receive the first "S 400"system, in 2019.

He said, "the deal signed with Russia to supply the S-400 missile system will be under the contract to provide two systems."

It is noteworthy that the ministries of defense of Turkey, France and Italy signed, on the eighth of this month, a "declaration of intent" on strengthening cooperation in the manufacture of missile defense systems between the three countries. Under the agreement, Eurosam and Turkish companies will begin work on a system based on the European Air Defense System (SAMP-T) to identify common needs among the three countries.

The agreement also aims to cooperate in the field of military electronic systems, software and communication equipment, and to enhance cooperation in the field of air defense systems and missile technology cooperation.

If US attacks we use S-400 and if Russia attacks we use Patriot.
Then we use Eurosam.

And just after ‘Death Star’… ^^

Populist propaganda for the masses.

One battery of Spanish Patriot PAC-2s is already in deployed in Adana I believe -- as part of the alliance operations in Syria? Are they talking about possibly handing the system over to Turkey at a reasonable price perhaps? If they leave the battery in Turkey they'll still have 5 more left for Spain's own defense needs.

Turkey will likely keep it in Adana until the S-400s arrive.

Coincidentally the Italians also have a SAMP/T battery deployed in Kahramanmaras. It'd be great to purchase that too in a joint Spanish-Italian deal. :)

It would be interesting development. Purchasing S400, considering to purchase SAMP/T and Patriot... hmmm. And at the same time we are developing Hisar U. Isnt it a little bit expensive?

.
perhaps, but since we don't have these systems it's a good investment.

.
Americans are crazy if they think we would buy patriot. Look what Poland have to pay, freaky 10 billion dollars for patriot not Thaad or SM3:-). To expensive we are not petrol rich country.

I got curious so I tried googling and got this article.

hm... all I can say is that the polish seem to be more aware of what they want compared to Turkey. Who goes for different systems in a stand-alone concept. It's either because we're going to build our own IBCS system, or we haven't gotten there yet.

All i can say is you are not aware what Turkey wants. 10 billion for a SAM system is over kill, and that beside you are in the mercy of another country. We want do wtf we want to do with that, they can ambargo you when they decide. Americans are expensive beside that they don't want to give ToT. We want ToT and we are not stupid to pay a high price for patriot.

It says 8 Patriot batteries in the article for 10 billion. I thought the patriot went for around 2 billion a battery.

There are discounts for Poland. Poland is the US castle in Europe and USAs Trojan Horse in EU. In WW2 Poland proofed its loyalty with Anglosaxon axis. Many pilots and SpecOps were fighting for the Tommies:agree:

You think 60% Hit rate is a great success?

Welcome back.

IMO 70% is a good hit to kill rate.
No old friend . There are various sources , they claim hit ratio between 60-70%.
I can only rely on the sources which are available.
What is your opinion ? Attacking missiles - Popeyes ? Interceptor - Kashtan system ?
I don't know.
