There have been no backfires sold to china....
The images are of Russian backfires with a PLAAF logo PSed onto it. the planes were in China for a exhibition to show off the plane for a potential sale but China declined. hence the Chinese vehicles in the foreground.
Chinese wanted the Tu-160, Which the Russians flatly refused.
Where did you get that from?
From all accounts they asked for the TU22 back in the 90's and were refused. However they were offered from 2004 and refused by China since then. If the Chinese really wanted the TU-160 they could have purchased them from Ukraine before they destroyed them.
