TuAF F16 , RuAF Su30 face off

Nah Russian pilots that get shot down have a better chance of survival than in Syria. Its a well known fact.

Doesn't mean anything against the missiles these days. Turning on its axis just means losing speed and making it look stationary to the missile.

Russia can't afford to lose an Su-35.

During the dogfight everything matters even the old cannon too..

And for Russia SU35 loss will be a big one but not as big as F22 coz it will destory the invincible tag of F22, plus Russia does not have a hegemony to defend.

.
You all need to relax...

Everyone is testing the air defense of one another.

Israelis flew out to the Mediterranean and then flanked the Syrian Coast.
Russians flew north to Turkey.
Coalition planes are flying all over Eastern Syria, from the Gulf, and Jordan. Some planes are testing Syrian (Assad's) defenses over the territory he controls.

Just a couple countries plotting their turf.
This is true , after all some place required to test the newly developed weapons to market them , unfortunately muslims are providing their own home lands for last many decades

Sure dogfights can happen, but when is the last time we had any with guns that shot down aircraft?

No, its pretty big one for Russia since they only have a few of them. And if the Russian aircraft with its 3D thrust vector can be shot down by an F-16, well...

I replied to the quote of dogfights, and good if you believe that non NATO fighter aircrafts flies without missiles.
even a bird hit can bring down the 3D thrust Vector down but you never count that in combat scenario.

Again for Dogfights, 3D thrust vector technology is a formidable technology to deal with.

You can quote as many dogfights. But you can also quote how many got shot down by American pilots with missiles for the last few decades. I doubt you will find any American pilots that says they shot down a plane with a gun for the last few decades.

When did last time Americans attacked a country alone which had formidable air force?
When did last time American took an air force that can bring the air combats to close dogfights ?

According to my understanding, Americans will never challenge Russians head on with F22, lets keep rest to the future.

Gulf War 1 which Iraq had a formidable air force. And I like to point out, no American pilot with formidable training and aircraft shot down any enemy aircraft with guns during that conflict.

Good - you missed the word ALONE....
Gulf war was Collation of 36 countries against one. :-)

And if the same scenario occurs again with F16 and SU35 3D TV will be very effective.

The U.S. was doing most of the fighting. Heck some of the countries just only provided logistical support. But did any of the other coalition pilots shoot down any aircraft with guns?:-)

Wow 5 minutes lock on 2 f16s.. thats eternity.. f16 supposed to be having small rcs and nimble v/s huge su30. I think TuAF pilot need more training.
You assume they attempted to break lock, which may be a doubtfull assumption. I would think they were under orders to carry out restraint and not cause an international incident. In which case they behaved admirably for 5 long minutes (because they surely could tell if they were locked onto)

awac will do what awacs do, even russian have got awacs, better in quality and in greater numbers. ask yourself a question, can f16s fight sukhoi 35 or mig35?
Which Russian AWACS specifically is better than E-7A Wedgetail (Australia) aka Boeing 737 AEW&C Peace Eagle (Turkey) aka Peace Eye (South Korea)? Note that these countries are key US allies.

The aircraft uses the Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems Multi-role Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) radar. The L-band (1 to 2 GHz) electronically scanned AEW and surveillance radar is located on a dorsal fin on top of the fuselage, dubbed the "top hat", and is designed for minimal aerodynamic effect.
The radar is capable of simultaneous air and sea search, fighter control and area search, with a maximum range of over 600 km (look-up mode). When operating in look-down mode against fighter-sized target, the maximum range is in excess of 370 km. When used against maritime targets, the maximum range is over 240 km for frigate-sized targets.
MESA is capable of simultaneously tracking 180 targets and conducting 24 intercepts. In addition, the radar antenna array is also doubled as an ELINT array, with a maximum range of over 850 km at 9,000 meter altitude.
The 10.8 m long by 3.4 m high antenna assembly incorporates 7.3 m long by 2.7 m high Side-Emitting Electronic Manifold array, with the top hat supporting array providing 120° coverage on port and starboard side, while the top hat array itself provides 60° fore and aft, thus providing a complete 360° coverage. The radar's beam can be set for a 2° to 8° width, while scan duration can be set from 3 s to 40 s. Radar signal processing equipment and central computer are installed directly below the antenna array.
Boeing 737 AEW&C - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia from Jane's Electronic Mission Aircraft, 2011 Edition

Russia has a TOTAL (for all of Russia) of 16 Beriev A-50, and Il-76 based AEWC aircraft.
Beriev A-50 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The A-50 can control up to 10 fighter aircraft for either air-to-air intercept or air-to-ground attack missions. The A-50 is capable of flying for 4 hours at 1000 km from its base at a maximum takeoff weight of 190 tons. The aircraft can be refuelled by Il-78 tankers. The radar "Vega-M" is designed by MNIIP, Moscow, and produced by NPO Vega. The "Vega-M" is capable of tracking up to 50 targets simultaneously within 230 kilometers. Large targets, like surface ships, can be tracked at a distance of 400 km

If locking on the Turkish F-16 is true, it means Russians are showing their intent and purpose. They could have easily blown away that F-16 if they wanted to. They did not after locking on means they are giving a serious warning.

The first priority for Coalition forces was the destruction of Iraqi command and control bunkers, Scud missile launch pads and storage areas, telecommunications and radio facilities, and airfields.[9] The attack began with a wave of deep-penetrating aircraft — F-111s, F-15Es, Tornado GR1s, F-16s, A-6s, A-7Es,and F-117s, complemented by F-15C, F-14s and Air Defense Tornados.[10] EA-6Bs, EF-111 radar jammers, and F-117A stealth planes were heavily used in this phase to elude Iraq's extensive SAM systems and anti-aircraft weapons. The sorties were launched mostly from Saudi Arabia and the six Coalition aircraft carrier battle groups (CVBG) in the Persian Gulf and Red Sea. During the initial 24 hours 2,775 sorties were flown, including seven B-52s which flew a 34-hour nonstop 14,000-mile round-trip from Barksdale Air Force Base and launched 13 AGM-86 CALCM cruise missiles against Iraqi targets.[11][12]

Persian Gulf CVBGs included USS Midway, USS Theodore Roosevelt, and USS Ranger. USS America, USS John F. Kennedy, and USS Saratoga operated from the Red Sea (USS America transitioned to the Persian Gulf midway through the air war).

You don't say this (2,250 combat aircraft) is mostly US Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps in action? Again some 500 Iraqi aircraft.

It would have been pretty stupid to do so, in Turkey's airspace (deliberate act of war against a nato country > not a smart move)

Nobody believes it was an accident but at the same time those 5 Russian jets can't do much. If Turkey is attacked from Syria, Assad and his friends are outpowered in terms of land, air and sea power.

RUSSIA IS MAKING ALOT OF PEOPLE NERVOUS.

HECK I HERD THEY ONLY HAVE 6 SU30S IN TURKREY

Our F-16 have the latest upgrades like the EW suite, Aim120 C7 and Sidewinder missiles. We have land and air based long distance jammers, they are in the range of our cruise missiles. Rocket artillery so they are fuckedd up when they shoot a missile against our F-16.
