PESHAWAR: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Punjab has announced that it will be ceasing its militant activity in Pakistan.



TTP Punjab leader Asmatullah Muavia said the group would now limit its militant activity to Afghanistan. According to Muavia the decision was taken after consultations.



Asmatullah Muavia also said other groups of the TTP should stop their militant activity in Pakistan.

im almost making the same point. They have failed to bear the brunt of Army's military operation hence the escape. The moment this operation subsides and space becomes available to them, they'll come back.
In short, its not a policy shift in the thinking of TTP punjab but only a strategic shift.
