This much cant be salvaged from a downed aircraft IMO, especially in this apparent good condition. The stuff at 7 o'clock looks like drop tank to me.

Stuff such is this is available in Afghanistan, which is then smuggled into Pakistan as scrap. By looking at the condition, it does not appear that the drop tank was actually dropped during the flight for it would have lost its shape upon hitting the ground.

With MANPAD!!

It could happen only if Pilot did not followed protocols. It is impossible to shoot down a Jet with MANPAD, unless it if flying at very low altitude and with slower than average speed.. Helicopters on the other hand..........

If TTP has build up the capability to down war plane, it is a very serious threat for Pakistan. Let us hope that news is not correct.

While i do believe it is propaganda, but this stuff could not be acquired from scrap dealers in Afghanistan.When a Jet crashes in afriendly territoty or a place controlled by your forces, it's remenants are brough back to analayse cause of crashes. It would be impossible for an Afghan scrap dealer to get F-16 parts.
