There was some report of RAW hideouts in Afghanistan, but it’s the RAW financing that’s worrisome.

Actually, all this design of surrounding Pakistan was envisioned by RAW after Indian success in 1971. India wants Pakistan to get entangled militarily on western border with Afghanistan and remain entangled till Pakistan breaks down. It’s almost a stalemate right now.

And Pakistan quietly accepted and went in defensive.
“100 years of peace” and “bury the past” didn’t even help you.
The selling out of Kashmir for your enemy to continue its plans against you via Afghanistan.
What’s stopping Pakistan from lighting up Indias rear? Apparently at one time Pakistan even did and indians felt it in Assam etc but then dollarkhors got phone calls from their masters.

Establishment mentality:

Indians cause terrorism in Pakistan and want us to stay focused on western front
Pakistani establishment responds with signing ceasefire with Indians on LOC, cracking down on Kashmiri mujahideen, asking for “100 years of peace” and “bury the past” and, getting embarrassed every time by Indians diplomatically.

Curious that why the troops didn't get dropped either on the posts or mountain tops (nearer to the area) rather than in the valley and then being transported on local vehicles.

Because they still operate on old tactics.

Having said that not sure what the circumstance here are.
This might be an advance party dropped in to establish some ground presence - and develop any intel. So just this example of a heli landing does not mean this was not the smart way to ingress.

Having said that some of the tactics employed by PA is still classic in nature, which is why we see such high casualties. Hopefully over time those will change.

One of my biggest critiques is poorly designed and support, isolated posts - usually undermanned. Those are killers.

PA Doesn't operate Ford pickup trucks and it doesn't match any vehicle PA operates. Perhaps it could have been taken in Afghanistan which explains the truck, for now it seems unconfirmed.
