Xiaomi n gang compete on cost, and performance difference between mobile processors is negligible in most normal tasks. You wanna sell a 100 - 200 $ phone to Indians, 5nm and 14nm processor makes no difference. They look at cost and some normal speed.

Finally there is a reply that got the point. To be more accurate only expensive phones will be affected from the TSMC ban. Because China domestic manufacturers can supply 14nm chips. In the next 2-3 years 7nm will be available for Huawei.
