Trump’s ‘deal-making skills’ can help resolve Kashmir: US VP-elect Mike Pence

He inherited his fortune and his oldman gave him the necessary contacts in the real estate and political world to start off his business, not to mention the 14 million dollar loan lol even then he was a medium level real estate developer in Manhattan whilst many of his rivals built their businesses from scratch and had far, far more success, though non had the self promoting instincts of Donald.
Very well then, keep disparaging him if you must. It's a disappointing attitude though, I see hope and a better future for the world with Mr Trump in charge of the US, beginning with the middle east where the wars will finally stop and Iraq and Syria stabilize (albeit a few bitter pills, maybe an amputation and some cauterization later) but they will stabilize. Bush and Obama progressively made everything worse, Trump, I believe, will stop the rot.

Don't expect anything of consequence on Kashmir but I see him making a lot of changes in US policy in other way more troubled regions of the world.

Donald J Trump, POTUS no. 45, High King of 'Murrica, messenger of common sense and a man of peace.

Trump's last statement at his post win 'thank you' rally tour (lol, he loves those rallies)

"We will destroy ISIS. At the same time, we will pursue a new foreign policy that finally learns from the mistakes of the past. We will stop looking to topple regimes and overthrow governments, folks," "Our goal is stability, not chaos..."

Flynn is a highly decorated commander, not some frothing at the mouth neo-con crazy person, and yes, he's not a diplomat, I think it's great that he'll have Trump's ear on important issues like terrorism.

General James Mattis, they call him the warrior monk because he's so well read and such an expert, a real leader of men, not some crazy corrupt warmonger politician.

I'd have expected you guys from Pakistan at least, who have such a rich military tradition yourself, to realize these things.

Matthis and Flynn are both extremely anti-Iran, do not forget Bush jnr initially also opted for a isolationist policy, events dictated otherwise, Trump says the Iran deal is the worst deal ever made ( I doubt he knows the first thing about it), however Flynn and Matthis also feel this way and want it abolished, we will have to cautiously observe.

anti Iran and the deal they may be, but they both realize that that Iran is a partner in their fight with ISIS, which is one of Trump's priorities. The expected rapprochement/detente with Russia will also go a long way in soothing the Iran "problem". Given their rhetoric so far, the idea that the Trump admin will initiate a war with Iran is quite absurd, there might be an incident if the Iranians try and buzz their carriers or something but a stupid ill conceived big war with Iran ? I don't think so.

You're right though, we will have to wait and see how things play out, another spectacular 9/11 type hit on the US and all bets will have to be off. For now I'm just going on the rhetoric we've heard so far, and it's been reassuring. This region and our conflict in specific, what we have so far is pleasantries and platitudes to Noora, and he went to a Kashmiri pandit fundraiser by republican Hindu supporters earlier, and an abikibar Trump sarkar. :sarcastic:

It'll be fine, he might even say something outrageous that burns us Indians at some stage if he's making a deal with Pakistan at the time.

Donald will address the UN, chair G 5/10/20 meets, formulate a new NATO doctrine, Melania will save orphans and endangered species.. and we're all guaranteed tremendous fun ! :partay:

How about letting the people of Kashmir decide their own future?
Not happening ever, even if you retreat from Azad kashmir as per UN resolution, do you really think we will let the Jammu and ladakhi minorities at the mercy of the likes of Burhan wani

It's not our business. It's between Pakistan and India. We more often than not, only make things worse. Stay out of it, Mr. Trump.
True, please focus on other countries which are in urgent needs of democracy :D

I believe you. my response was against the suggestion that anyone other than the people of Kashmir should decide their future.

Personally, I hope the Kashmir dispute just ends and our countries can finally exist in peace.

Speak for yourself buddy.Kudos

what exactly are you scared of wrt Trump ?
I just think he is wholly unqualified to be the most powerful man in the known universe, for heaven sake this man gave a blank when he was asked about the nuclear triad, he did not have a clue on how national debt operates and a million and one other things, I could go on and on, but what is the point ,he has managed to game the gullible folk of the rust belt to ensure an electoral college victory.Kudos

Lol . how will he convince India or Pakistan to hand over their side of Kashmir to the other? LOL

He should focus on more important global issues that are actually resolvable and crucial for the world. This conflict is a waste of time . Only war can maybe settle things once and for all between these two bitter enemies.

so what, he's not a politician, a radio host grilled him on Hamas and Hezbollah or something and he was clueless, he said he'd know more when the time comes, and today he has access to slightly better intel on those types of things that than the smug Hugh Hewitt.

Republican politicians traditionally fare worse with minorities in the US than the Democrats, he did better than the last republican nominee, quit trying to undermine what he achieved here.

but we probably wont agree on him so nevermind, I just think the fear factor is a bit overblown.

Let us agree to disagree.
