Don't know about others, I am being told by my parents/ grand parents since my childhood that US is no friend.. US is a back stabber. US goes after the country where its financial interests take it.

Regarding IKs statements, he is damn right. We shouldn't fight anyone else's war specially if it is US.

To all the people going bonkers on IK's statement, answer these questions

1. Would we have lost 70K people had Pakistan not joined in this so called WOT?
2. Was FATA an issue before the US forces invaded?
3. Pakistan's economy took a hit everyone agrees on it maybe the numbers might be different, but wouldnt we have been economically better off had we not been part of this US mess?
4. Pakistan society has become radicalized today. would this have been case had Pakistan stayed away from this war?
5. Finally what did Pakistan achieve by joining this coalition except humiliation after humiliation?

What ever IK has said, those have been my feelings as well from day 1.

problem here is we had 70% type chotias in our country who have big keera in their @ss, they dont support to anyone, and any law, they want rule regulations of traffic but not @ cost of there own challan, they want justice system of europe but nkt @ cost of nawaza and zardari, they want leaders that act like iran leaders but not @ cost of nawaza and zardari... they want the respect of sovereignty but nlt @ cost of drones.. yeh komi begairat aaj imran khan k khilaf hain k woh keun bol parha

Lost of 70k was the result of Indian funded Terrorist-outfit aka TTP as confessed by Ajit Doval, in-charge of Indian NSA. So Pakistan was fighting its own war - the war against terrorism which the goal coincided with USA's foreign policy.

3. Pakistan's economy took a hit everyone agrees on it maybe the numbers might be different, but wouldnt we have been economically better off had we not been part of this US mess?

Pakistan would have faced economically isolated from all over the world, and that also means no remittance from North America, Europe and Middle East. Pakistan would have been next North Korea in terms of economically condition.

4. Pakistan society has become radicalized today. would this have been case had Pakistan stayed away from this war?

Early 70s caught the grip of radicalism which resulted Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Zia Ul Haq to entertain to the crowd caught up at radicalism at that time. It has nothing to do with the war. Similarity, the radicalism/extremism is also spreading in India which they have fancy name for secularism already and it is called sickular.

5. Finally what did Pakistan achieve by joining this coalition except humiliation after humiliation?

Humiliation? Or extended lease to regroup and prepare for the challenging time ahead which is now possible because of Pakistan collaboration with USA? The fact you are commenting from Canada shows that Pakistan made the right choice collaborating with USA in order to be part of Globalization.
