Donald Trump on Thursday said he was “very disappointed that China is allowing oil to go into North Korea” and said such moves would prevent “a friendly solution” to the crisis over Pyongyang’s nuclear program.

China has denied allowing such transfers and said it is “completely and strictly” enforcing United Nations sanctions against North Korea.

“Caught RED HANDED,” the president tweeted, with a characteristic use of capitals. “Very disappointed that China is allowing oil to go into North Korea. There will never be a friendly solution to the North Korea problem if this continues to happen!”

Earlier on Thursday, China said there had been no sanction-breaking oil sales by Chinese ships to North Korea, as described by a South Korea newspaper, Chosun Ilbo, that said Chinese and North Korean vessels had illicitly linked up at sea to get oil to North Korea 30 times since October.

The South Korean report was picked up by Fox News, commonly a source of information linked to Trump’s tweets.

On Wednesday, a Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman, Hua Chunying, said she had no information about the South Korean report. But she said China had “completely and strictly” enforced trade restrictions aimed at discouraging North Korea from developing nuclear and missile technology.

Hua questioned whether any country could make sure “not a single breach will happen” but added: “the Chinese government has been completely and strictly enforcing security council resolutions. We are taking a sincere and serious attitude and forceful and effective actions.”

Trump was spending another day in Florida, where he was staying at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Before the tweet was sent, the White House press pool report said he had travelled to one of his golf courses in the state.

He should just be honest with everyone and admit that the US wants to glass North Korea and is looking for every possible excuse to do it.

Nice move by China. There is no reason to block oil supplies to NK as it has done nothing wrong.

Great. Trump confirmed that Taiwan and Hongkong is a part of China.

North Korea: South seizes ship amid row over illegal oil transfer
South Korea has revealed it seized a Hong Kong-registered ship last month suspected of supplying oil to the North in breach of international sanctions.

Officials said the Lighthouse Winmore had secretly transferred 600 tonnes of refined oil to a North Korean ship.

A UN Security Council resolution bans ship-to-ship transfers of any goods destined for Pyongyang.

The revelations came as China denied claims by President Donald Trump it had allowed oil shipments to the North.

What happened with the Lighthouse Winmore?
The ship entered Yeosu port in South Korea on 11 October to load up with refined oil and left for Taiwan four days later, Yonhap news agency reported.
The Lighthouse Winmore was seized when it returned to Yeosu in November and remains in South Korea, South Korean officials said.

Was China involved?
There is no evidence for this, as although the Lighthouse Winmore is Hong Kong-flagged, it was leased by a Taiwanese company, Billions Bunker Group Corp.

Taiwan's Presidential Office said the company that chartered the ship was not incorporated in Taiwan, but did not say whether the firm's owner or officials are Taiwanese.

The Chinese government said the accusations against it were "not consistent with the facts".

and Trump thought Chinese President is his langotia, bud..why disappointed what happened to mighty Navy ...

Who in their right mind thought china would really stop supplying NK with oil? I for one knew it was never going to happen because china knows its cheaper and easier to supply nk with oil than to deal with a possible collapse of Nk. China is definitely in a strong position to play her "game " in asia there.

but but India has a embassy in NK and a major trading partner with North Korea but Trump nor any of his lackys say a word. Hypocrisy much?

India is as much responsible as China for keeping afloat the tyrant fascist regime.

VERY FAKE NEWS.

US media cannot be trusted, as noted by President Trump himself.
