Trump to UK: 'Walk away' if EU does not give what you want

You are wrong on so many counts, I don't know where to begin.
The argument you gave is a typical cock and bull story paddled by the Leave Campaigners.
The reality is completely different, be in the Europe was massively beneficial for the UK.
I don't usually vote, neither my wife does. But that day I made sure we both walk to the booth to cast our votes to remain in Europe.

Except that this particular society was great, actually one of the greatest, if not the greatest. But now it is shadow of itself. The joke is soon after Scotland and Wales decided to quit the Union, it would be sad little England. Scotland's separation and independence is not far away, may be another decade they wouldn't be part of the Union.

Yep, apart from Northern Ireland, both Scotland and Wales will leave and join the EU. They will both be welcomed with open arms.

The Brexit leaves England as a little unimportant island... it will loose its importance as a big stock market exchange (one of the benefits of the EU was the easy access that made to London stock exchange so big) ... big companys like british airways and many banks already on their way to relocate thier headquater on European mainland (no tax payed in Britian anymore) ...

The Brexit is a story full of fail information ad lies from the Brexit politicans...
Boris Johnson face possible a legal proceeding for several times claiming the UK pays every week 400 billion € ... which is a lie ..so he used lies to win british citizen to vote for exit EU...
This shows in what a world we are lifing... Mr Fake News President Trump claim that this lieing politican is Englands best choose... welcome in the world of assholes at the top... braindead people vote for such idiot leaders...

Wales is pro-Union so is N.Ireland, Scottish nationalists lost the referendum massively. The EU would not welcome any of them with 'open arms' states such as Spain will oppose it, as it leaves it open for the Catalan region to break away. There are also other nationalist movements within the EU.

Walking away on WTO rules is fine. The UK should not bend its back for a trade deal with the EU. As for Trump he loves throwing a spanner in the works, that's just him.

True, so many lies spoken. Problem is the man "Nigel Farage" mentioned by Trump is a weasel, nobody except the right wing nuts like him in the UK. We are in testing time now, it is going to get worse.
Same goes for Johnson, he is a complete nutter, may God save us all from that idiot.

It's not an unimportant Island, it's a UNSC seat holder, has the most powerful military in Europe and is the fifth largest economy in the world.
You mention the stock exchange, did you read this;

But the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has now announced a U-turn on the plans after “taking into account the concerns expressed by stakeholders”.

The London Stock Exchange said the news was positive for investors and a “step forward in avoiding market disruption in a no-deal Brexit”.

No UK firm will leave to go to the mainland, at worst they may set up a subsidiary. Boris is facing a private prosecution which is total rubbish and will go no where, and he didn't like he used the gross figure. Here is the breakdown;

  • Payment to Brussels, net of rebate and money returned to the UK: £9.4 billion a year, or £181 million a week.
  • Payment to Brussels, net of rebate: £13.9 billion a year, or £267 million a week.
  • Gross payment to Brussels: £18.9 billion a year, or £363 million a week.

British Airways already plans to move to Spain if their is no Brexit deal... and at the moment there is none
Many banks already move to Frankfurt
and just for u yesterday thinker... many NONE british companys leave England... no more benefits for them to be there, with no Brexit deal no easy access to the EU market..

GDP 2018

UK 9th place GDP (PPP)
UK 26th place GDP per captiva and dropping (2017 24th)
UK 154th place GDP real groth rate (worse than Germany, France, Spain, Greece, Portugal etc.)

UK has not the largest Army and not the most powerfull in Europe and of course they dont spend the most.

2019 military budget spendings in Europe

The only person writing $hit is you!

British Airways is owned by IAG which combines Spanish and Irish airlines, so what if they moved some operations to Spain in the event of a no deal. The international head office of British Airways is in Harmondsworth Greater London. IAG also has its corporate headquarters in London.
Many banks have moved to Frankfurt you say? Name one which has completely uprooted and moved all its operations to Frankfurt. They are moving some operations and staff to various EU states.

Now for your 'stats'. You conveniently ignored the nominal GDP figure, of course in terms of PPP we are lower, but these are meant to reflect 'living standards' so Brazil, India, Russia and Indonesia are supposedly better off with their PPP higher than the UK's lol!

Per capita the UK is at 29, but if you look at the rest of the countries, bar the US and Germany we have a bigger population.

As for the real growth rate yes it's low, but expected from a mature first world economies who have lower growth rates, which can be lower when we see spikes in inflation, other advanced economies also are in a similar position e.g. the US, Japan etc. The hilarious part here is that you actually compared the UK with basket case economies in Europe, sky high with debt and with major structural deficiencies Greece, Portugal etc.

As for productivity I'd agree that UK has work to do.

Here's some stats for you;

The UK is fourth in the world on the Global Innovation Index 2018.
The United Kingdom’s economic freedom score is 78.9, making its economy the 7th freest in the 2019 Index.
The UK ranks 9th in the world on the World Bank's index of 'ease of doing business'.

The UK doesn't need to have the largest army but our technological edge is greater than any European state (BAE, Rolls Royce) .

Aside France we spend more than anyone else, and also since when has spending more equalled power for countries of our size? Nations go through different budgets depending on their requirements through the years.

By the way you received your reply now don't go off-topic. Why don't you spend your time figuring out how Germany is going to solve its massive demographic time bomb;

The population is set to decline from a 2002 peak of 82m to 74.5m by 2050, according to the United Nations. The percentage of Germans under 15 is forecast to fall to 13 per cent, among the world’s lowest. The share of those over 60 is expected to rise from 27 per cent to 39 per cent.

We the people of the UK voted for Brexit, because we do not believe in the EU project. It was an economic union that we got onboard for. Now, that has changed and it has become about political union, we want to get off and out of the bandwagon. The rise of the Brexit party should give you an indication of the mood in the UK.

If only the establishment, which is full of EU collaborators and sympathisers would recognise the mood in the UK, then we can get the show on the road.

Yes, for the short term it will cost us. So, be it !!!
