for all the apparent Sino-Pak 'goodwill', the US still supports the Pak military with aid and continues to allow liberal trade policies that benefit Pak, if they wanted, they could really turn the screws and make life very difficult.

the Pak army leadership would also prefer to continue being a 'partner' with the US, rather than putting all their eggs in the Chinese basket, the PAF for sure don't want to go full Chinese with their inventory, that one is a guarantee.

Pakistanis here can keep denying it all they want, but that's the reality, Trump will increase the US' hold on Pakistan.
