India's ties with US is not to get massive loans to run our country so we don't have to do what you experienced("This is indias new position......") .

This ties with US is to create a geopolitical situation to keep China in check , work with US and its allies to get new technology and business for both commercial and Military purpose and for the development of India to the world stage.

We have got Russia onside of a number of issues to the point where they have disregarded indias military spending and openly refused to support indias accusations of terrorism and even rebuked india for pointing fingers at Pakistan frivolously

We have even managed to increase relations with a number of world states from Italy to Nigeria


In the meantime India is trying to "use" the USA it in reality is being set up as the new U.S lackey

The USA going forward is a risk to the world

I think USA may not turn on Pakistan.

You are talking and seeing the world like a "frog" in the pond.

What Indians think is that if China can rise, we can rise too regardless of the the plans you both china and Pakistan have put in place.

Regarding Afghanistan , Pakistan is trying their best to get an upper hand (which India will never allow...You can try) by arranging a trilateral meeting between Russia, China and Pakistan are “mere meeting” of third parties that doesn’t show any results on the ground “ and will not make any difference until political settlement has to be Afghan-led, Afghan-owned and Afghan-controlled”. “Nothing else is going to work in Afghanistan”. India Iran and US will make sure that.

China is a super power for Pakistanis not for Indians (thay are mere our neighbor and business partner) and Turkey is the most useless nation in the NATO and to India.

For now, the main Russian game in Asia is to work with China and Iran to create a multi-polar space therein (and India Knows that) and the opportunist Pakistan jumped into that bandwagon to get a place among them.

India is playing the same game by partnering with US . Russia and India are unlikely to formally break and will continue to cooperate on many issues. They will remain partners on weapons development and energy issues. Nonetheless, a geopolitical drift is increasingly likely in the coming decades, as the two countries have disparate interests. At the same time we will keep good relations with Russia , USA , Israel , GCC countries OIC countries , especially Iran. (with China, I cant promise)

I never said there will be no relation developing b/w Pakistan and Russia in future. Pakistani and Russian interests are aligning with each other so there will be more and more cooperation..

As for US, we should maintain distance, it does not mean we should start hurting their interests and start chanting marg bar US like Iranian , just politely have minimum dealing with them about matters which concern us both.. Secondly US very well understand that Pakistan as ally against terrorism is better then hostile Pakistan..

Let's wait for Trump to resume office...US/Russia differences will reduce, in-fact my take is that these two countries can possibly form alliance (as Europe's importance on world's stage is diminishing)...Middle-east/Africa (Russia)...Pacific/Asia - US. If that happens, India will have huge advantage as being friend of both....Russia (naturally) dont' want to be close to China (read history and all their conflicts) but friction with west is pushing it towards this unwanted alliance.....
