As the US behavior continues to be a net negative on the middle east as a whole and Iraq in particular, with this threat of sanctions being yet another example of such behavior, we can only hope China moves from its inward looking policy into a more active role in this part of the world which is not too far from its borders, if not for stability then atleast for the protection of its interests...
