Trump: Every country must protect its oil tankers across the Gulf

.
A late Pakistani General once said, the day US & Iran would go to war, just come on my grave and curse me.To understand that you have to read about Crusades.
Fall of Ottoman Khilafat was biggest defeat and set back for Muslims, all mayhem we have seen after that,is linked with that event.

I think that too. I think the same can be said about the average non-Muslim in the west too.

They detest pakistan and saudi and turkey. But suddenly have a soft spot for Iran.

@Al Watan Al Arabi
If Arab states in Arab peninsula are united,it would do wonders for whole of Muslim world.MBS may be a man with that kind of vision but he has no instruments to do that.

.
Those whom rely on foreign powers & have implemented their orders blindly attacked regional countries by beautiful weaponry while paid for protection over & over gotta find it very hard .. even they said we fill & replace Iran oil in the market ... no you can not & clock's started ticking ...

Are you saying that 500 million Arabs living across 20 + Arab countries the size of almost Russia with more natural resources, mineral wealth, greater strategic location than most areas on the planet relies on foreign powers "and implemented their orders blindly" while tiny Iran (with a smaller economy than 10 million big UAE) in comparison (unable to defeat 3.5 times smaller Iraq during a 8 year long war, speaking about wars and conflicts you were involved in the most bloody war of the region in modern history and let us not mention Syria) is not?

Where would you be without the support of powers/countries friendly to you? 40 years ago (in your own words) you could not even manufacture a screwdriver within Iran and you were learning from small Arab countries such as Libya and Syria (missile tech) but now you have miraculously become a superpower that is 100% independent all while begging countries in the world to prevent the US from sanctioning you? 100% independent countries don't care about some weak US sanctions (even Iraq is allowed to import your oil and gas). Even tiny North Korea managed to build nuclear weapons with zero allies other than China and facing 100 times stronger sanctions.

Your Mullah's are neither independent, nor anti-West nor pro-Muslim. If that was the case their presence (directly from France moreover) since 1979 would not have resulted in more division in the Muslim world than ever before. Care to explain this simple fact to me?

Don't give me some fairytale of anti-Western nonsense when Arabs were pioneers on this front when Iran was ruled by the Western installed Pahlavi dynasty that was replaced with another Western agent (Khomeini) with full blessing of the West. As if the West had no idea what was going on in Iran (whole country was invested by Western spies under Pahlavi) and them looking silently at the Mullah's dealing/killing all of the communists and opposition to the Shah that was mostly communist/socialistic. Not strange when that occurred in the middle of the Cold War with USSR next door. If that stooge (Khomeini) could create division and sectarianism in the region simultaneously then even better. Rest is history.

Yeah but in the chaotic gulf region safety isnt guaranteed and Uncel Sam has already declined to guarantee safety , infact Pakistan should also look for the safety of their tankers and should send ships to protect it

This discussion was about protecting shipping lanes, but since you have brought up Iraq war then let's talk about Saudi war stories.
people of the region question your policies in the region and many contractions. So-called allies and friends too.
The only ones who have any voice in that region are those monarchies. They are free to make all the agreements they want with Russia and China. They know too well, they will not last more than two weeks without the US.

Take the scandalous Iraq war and the fiasco there. Nothing was gained at all other than trillions wasted, 1000's of dead US soldiers, many more wounded not to mention all those that committed suicide afterwards (a few daily or how many again?) and left with scars for the rest of their lives.
Then you should talk about the Yemen war. For more than four years, your Saudi-led military coalition, has targeted civilians in a systematic manner, dropping bombs on hospitals, schools, weddings, funerals and even camps for displaced people fleeing the bombing. The brutal Saudi air campaign has killed tens of thousands, injured hundreds of thousands and displaced millions – creating the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.

ISIS rose up instead (worse than what was before) and you gifted half of that country on a plate to your supposed regional "archenemy" who turned an oil and gas rich country into a shithole (sadly) under the watch of the Iranian Mullah's. But, but "democracy" came, a system and constitution that I wide my *** with and which is a gigantic failure. Not to mention the KRG farce as well (leeches) that life of Basra's oil but conspire against the Iraqi state. But some retarded Shias aligned with Iran and their pockets are happy while the average people are struggling. Good stuff.
So what have you gained yourself in your bloody war in Yemen? The fact is, despite atrocities committed by the Iranian backed Houthis on the ground, their domestic support has only been bolstered by outrage over years of Saudi bombing while Saudis have nothing to show for. For the records, keep in mind, Yemen is rained down by bombs every day – dropped by Saudis using our planes that are flown by pilots trained either by us or England, maintained and prepared inside Saudi Arabia by thousands of US and British contractors. The Saudis absolutely depend on us and they couldn’t do it without us. If we weren’t there, in seven to 14 days there wouldn’t be a single Saudi military jet in the sky. We do that because your military lacks the expertise to fight a sustained air war. Several thousands of ours and British contractors are stationed at bases in Saudi Arabia. We train your pilots and conduct essential maintenance night and day on planes worn out from flying thousands of miles across the Saudi desert to their targets in Yemen. We even supervise your Saudi soldiers to load bombs on to planes and set their fuses for their intended targets and it all comes with a price tag.

Yes, we will be happy to continue protecting your shipping lanes, but you have to pay as you are paying for our other services. Is this too complicated to grasp? Or have at it with China and Russia.

india used to be the standard bearer of the Non-aligned movement. sad to see how far down the dependence ladder india has dropped. it all started when india shockingly voted against Iran in the UN and broke that non-aligned neutrality it maintained.

now a country of 1.4 billion people will take orders from an orange man simply threatning you to stop doing legitimate business with Iran.

not only do you stop your legitimiate business, but also send in ships to protect arab tankers sailing thru Iranian waters and stealing Iranian business and directly contributing to the de-facto blockade on Iran.

Be very very careful. Iran has drawn its red line ,and if Iranian tankers cant export, these arab tankers wont be exporting either. regardless of whether india thinks it can send in a couple ships to protect the arabs.

You want energy security? act like an independent country and secure your own interests. and don't take illegal orders from bullies.

pitiful what india is becoming. you have lost your identity.

What the hell are you blabbering about? The US is a 250 year old entity. Arabs were an imperial superpower for millennia controlling landmass on 3 continents (Asia, Europe and Africa) while funding some of the largest empires in human history and some of the most influential ones at that too. The combined size, population, wealth and historical legacy of the Arab world (if 1 federal country) today, would instantly ensure it would become a superpower as well if such a thing magically occured.

I am not sure what exactly you are talking about? Are you talking about the regime in power, country, 30 million natives disappearing in 2 weeks or what is it? In any case I have news for you without having any need to defend the House of Saud. The House of Saud established a state covering most of Arabia in the middle of the 18th century. Before the foundation of your country.

In the more modern era it was not until the 1980's that the US replaced the UK as the main choice for weapons import. Before that there was hardly any relationship on this front.

Do you understand the word "proportions"? You are comparing a civil war where 10.000 people have died that KSA did not start with the Iraq fiasco based on fake intel where 50 times as many people died.

No "systematic" manner. Even the useless and biased UN has not made such a conclusion. There were a few incidents of civilian targets being struck which is an unfortunate but completely normal consequence of fighting a militia that deliberately hides among civilians and does not wear any uniforms. Yes, sure, the "world's worst humanitarian crisis" in some imaginary galaxy.

There is no such thing. All pilots are local, refueling is done locally and there are no "advisers" on the ground as the US let alone UK (lol) are not involved in that war at all. Only the fighter jets are Western but you don't have monopoly on fighter jets in this world.

KSA is not paying for anything other than military equipment.

I want to remain you of the fact that KSA has had a trade (annual) surplus with the US for 50 years and counting.

https://www.census.gov/foreign-trade/balance/c5170.html

Shipping lanes are protected by the international community as it is in the interest of said international community for shipping traffic to continue as much as possible as the Bab el-Mendeb is a vital strait where 15% of the world's trade passes through EACH day.

As for nothing to show for, certainly more than the gigantic Iraq fiasco which is 1 billion times worse than any Saudi Arabian involvement in Yemen by every measurable statistic.

Dude only waiver Iran got was at Chabahar port which has Indian investments , what about Iran backstabbing India by chanting Kashmir , your supreme leader chants Kashmir whenever he wants to blackmail us and India has not reached the level to oppose the US but we tried to get waivers as far as we could , US threatened us with sanctions and our economy is already fragile and also Iran flip flops on giving us Farzad gas field , contract couldn't be signed due to US sanctions. Also uncle sam promised to help us on other platforms in exchange for stopping oil from Iran . India and Iran have enjoyed good ties and hope so it normalises post sanctions.
