Trump calls for 'Arab NATO' aginst Iran

..As much as I detest (all) Iranian posters on PDF with their unabating hate for Pakistan and her inhabitants, but let's be honest.. Much to our dismay, it's now apparent the US and her allies are behind this 'Islamic Alliance' and will work in unison with NATO. Pakistan should leave the alliance... Because this alliance is anything but holy thus it will become a total farce soon, Pakistan needs not to corner Iran... Rather stand by it.

P.S. Unfortunately the war against Iran is coming soon. It's then needless to say, it shall be a real shame seeing fellow Muslims leading the charge against Iran. Not good.

A penny for your thoughts?

Gotta be on your toes 24/7 with enemies like Israel/US/Saudis always watching.

But I assume that the Zolfaghar missile that PeeD recently gave a very good analysis about is the reason why US allowed the sale of the THAAD system in the first place (amongst the other impressive missiles in Iran's arsenal).

But what I really meant to say is that this 350 billion dollar Saudi military transformation is very alarming. No country especially one like the Saudis needs to buy that much weaponry. Logic dictates that they're planning something big and soonish ( 350 billion is an insane amount of weapons).

My shame... so much shame....

AFAIK its "only" $110 billion. Lol. The rest are economic.

They are rapidly making changes, and we are rapidly advancing. That Emad missile you see, it's not just a missile. It's a warhead. And to me it looks like an upgrade program for all Iran's MRBMs.

Bavar will be made in significant numbers to replace those old S-200s. Talash will replace the upgraded Hawks.

The armoured forces are expecting the Karrar. The infantry will get new assault rifles, and if you look at the future soldier program it includes armoured vests and other equipment.

The navy is making another 4 Jamaran frigates right now. As well as submarines. And the Persian Gulf destroyer is in the works.

The only thing lacking is the air force; but its possible we simply don't know about the advances there.

Every branch of the military has to be upgraded, and every branch is working on it with promising projects.

Submarines and missiles are very cost effective means of deterrence, but nukes are better.

Deng Xiaoping cut millions of soldiers from the PLA during the Cold War when we were being hunted by both the enemy superpowers (USA and USSR) in order to carry out his economic reforms. Relying instead on nuclear weapons to keep the superpowers at bay.

It was a very risky move but it paid off big time. Rouhani is seen as a reformer, this might just give Iran enough time to get that effective method of deterrence and achieve the same goal.

I view it differently. The reason I say 350 billion because the weapons work into the overall package so saying 350 billion is more wholistic as all the parts are of the same machine working in tandem for a single goal. In that sense the whole machine can in fact be viewed as a weapon (I'm stretching but humor me lol).

But yes you very correct.

The biggest factor here is time. How fast will Saudi Arabia and Israel get their expensive US weapons and how quickly can Iran produce and field the advanced missiles that we see.

I think this purchase is just to win the war in Yemen and somehow scare Iran, nothing more.

Makes sense to me. Show your enemy one hand while the other does something else.

That's way too many weapons for an enemy like the Houthis. 110 billion of the weapons deal is being implemented quickly and the only country those weapons are suited for is Iran.

Tillerson says the weapons deal can go up to 380 billion dollars, those amounts are HUGE

Who knows maybe.

if alliance is defensive i.e to stop the revolution at borders of Iran then i support it, but if its about invading Iran that i am against this fucking alliance, Pakistan should stay away from any such misadventure, we already have two unstable border, third will break our bones.

THAAD doesn't win a war against Houthis, neither does the LCS. This new "defence" "minister" of them is young and aggressive and he's after confrontation. Iran has to prepare, and it is doing so.

Iran is ahead of what it shows. We saw Emad test fired last year, with a nice red warhead.

Around about the same time, we see the Emad already deployed in underground bases, in its Khaki colour.

Ballistic missiles don't win a war.
Unless they're nuclear and your enemy isn't.

.
Excellent analysis of Iranian politics right here...

We've got our own systems that can answer to all of these F-15s, THAAD, M1A2, LCS...

They are Bavar-373, Emad and Zolfiqar missiles, Karrar, and Khalije Fars missile respectively.

How many times I said we should have nukes ....

There wasn't anyone with balls who dare to support my idea even in this forum ...

My countrymen are bunch of cowards ....

Unless they're nuclear and your enemy isn't.

Same way just tanks don't win a war, or fighter jets, or assault rifles.

Anyway I was making an example of how Iran delays it's military unveilings.

Nukes worked out really well for the USSR didn't they.

Testing nuke in current scenario only invite tougher sanctions. Just by going through what happened to North Korea you can understand

Who dared to attack them !?
