Trump calls for 'Arab NATO' against Iran

WASHINGTON - US president Donald Trump ''will lay out his vision for a new regional security architecture White House officials call an 'Arab NATO', to guide the fight against terrorism and push back against Iran'', reported the Washington Post on Wednesday.

''As a cornerstone of the plan, Trump will also announce one of the largest arms-sales deals in history,'' it added.

A central role will be played by Saudi Arabia. Riyadh will be the first stop on a foreign tour for the US president and will be where the plan will be announced, reports the newspaper. The US president will travel to five countries in eight days, from May 19 to 27. Riyadh will be followed by Israel, the Vatican, and the NATO summit in Brussels and will end in Taomina for the G7.

For you Iranians that THAAD system is an means to an end. War is now much more likely with Saudi Arabia getting 350 billion dollar weapons deal with 110 billion of it being executed immediately.

154 f-15sa jets and a slew of other weapons nearly all offensive in nature. The future yet again doesn't bode well for that region.

Trump will continue to agitate Iran. Not a shred of doubt about it. Israeli and Saudi opposition to Iran only strengthens Trump's agitation. I think something will happen during Trump's presidency. Something really big. I wouldn't be surprised if Iran was somehow involved.

Gotta be on your toes 24/7 with enemies like Israel/US/Saudis always watching.

But I assume that the Zolfaghar missile that PeeD recently gave a very good analysis about is the reason why US allowed the sale of the THAAD system in the first place (amongst the other impressive missiles in Iran's arsenal).

But what I really meant to say is that this 350 billion dollar Saudi military transformation is very alarming. No country especially one like the Saudis needs to buy that much weaponry. Logic dictates that they're planning something big and soonish ( 350 billion is an insane amount of weapons).
