Gen. Murad Ali Murad, the deputy chief of staff of the Afghan National Army (ANA), on Monday said in Kunduz that Pakistani generals believed to have been involved in the Kunduz battle escaped the city wearing burqas but warned that security forces will track them down.

Murad had been speaking at an event where Afghanistan's flag was once again raised above the Kunduz governor's building. He said the generals will be identified, tracked down and captured.

Murad while delivering a speech to the people said that militants are failing in Kunduz and that the government forces are intent on capturing the Pakistani generals who participated in the Kunduz battle.

"We will identify and detain these Pakistani generals who are hiding now and escaped wearing women's burqas," Murad said.

Meanwhile, Murad called on the city's residents to cooperate with security forces in tracking down the insurgents that were still hiding in the city.

"The people should co-operate with the security forces to identify the enemies who are in hiding," Murad added.

Meanwhile, Hamdullah Danishi, the acting-governor of Kunduz province on Monday started work officially.

"I was beside our security forces in that tough tragedy and I praise our security forces for their courage, zeal and faith," said Danishi.

During the flag raising event, Murad also said they will identify those who paved the way for insurgents to enter Kunduz.

This comes after officials finally managed to retake control of most parts of the city on Monday. It is however believed that there are still insurgents hiding in homes in the city – despite over 400 having been killed.

The city fell to the Taliban in the early hours of last Monday morning and was under siege for six days. During that time, the insurgents brutalized the residents, with reports off death squads emerging. Murders and gang rapes were also widespread, as was looting and pillaging of homes, businesses and shops.

However, a heavy presence of troops in the city has enabled residents to finally come out from hiding.

What a dumb allegation. IF Pakistan was involved, I would guarantee that the US would have something to say about it.

Nothing will come of this, do you want to know why? Because this is nothing but propaganda.

ANA is pushing it's luck. If it tries anything, it'll end up broken.

Meanwhile...

Referring to the recent address by the CEO Abdullah Abdullah at the UN General Assembly where he accused Pakistan of supporting terror groups, Spanta said both the current and the previous government had no solid evidence in hand to prove Pakistan's support of militant groups.

They cant keep track of their jails and escapees but they are going to track "generals". I wonder how many people in Afghan outside the 1 palace of 50 people actually buy their everyday diarrhea. Problem is plain and simple, India has invested too much into these nut cases, so much so that these people have become accustomed to the usual Indian cliche of upon own failures blame others.

GENERALS????? :woot: Lolll... I pity afghans now....for the mental state they are in...
Dont call them Afghans, we all know who are these foreigners, and who are their supporters in Pakistan.
They are nothing but sectarian rats, organised via Qum.

Another kargil?
No, just no. Don't make stupid remarks.

If Pakistan was involved in any way, the US would say so. Why the **** would military GENERALS be leading from the front? With today's technology, it makes no sense.

These are dumb, brainless accusations.

Another kargil?

Lol, Kunduz is all way on the border with Tajkistan, nothing to do with Pak, are you trying to suggest, that Pakistan is controlling Afghanistan, a country which couldn't be controlled by US along with a coalition of more than 30 countries !!!

May be they have said so "in private", thus making ANA re-capture relatively easier?
Oh please, with the relationship that both sides have right now? With Obama in power, this would be public.

There is literally 0 reason to believe this.

The truth is that the ANA fucked up real bad, and their trying to blame Pakistan in order to deflect attention away from their own problems.
