Interesting debate - never thought I will see so many people debating about north-east in a Pakistan forum. I am not going to debate on which state is better. Spent time in Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh (unfortunately missed out on other states so far). Every state has it's strengths and weaknesses. Unfortunately all states missed out on major development, GOI across years have neglected the region. Our neighbours across the border (Tibet) has surpassed every sister states in development. I think we need to compete against them, and use them as yard stick.

Yes NE states have missed out a lot in terms of development. Thankfully now government is following the look east moto and actually investing in infrastructure projects to improve connectivity that will be beneficial for entire north east. I found out that Nagas and Dimapuris during a famine not very long ago (maybe a few hundred years ago), started eating dogs and other carnivorous animals in large numbers. Baptists came in from Western countries and educated/civilized them.

This dog-eating practice is unsupported by both major religions in India - Hinduism and Islam.

It's the sign of intellegence and adaptability of a community or civilization to use any available means to fullfill their nutrient requirement during famine ,that has improved the genetic quality and IQ,better than dying and starving while receding genetic quality.
