MOSCOW: Secretary-level trilateral talks between Pakistan, China and Russia will be held on December 27 in Moscow on restoration of peace in Afghanistan.

Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry will represent Pakistan in the talks.

According to foreign media reports, Russia is gravely concerned over expansion and growing influence of the terrorist group Islamic State in Afghanistan and it wants to play an active role to bring different stakeholders to a negotiating table with reference to Afghanistan.

This is the main reason that Russia wants cooperation from Pakistan and China to find out solution to this issue.

i hate aizaz chaudry and tariq fatmi ......both know nothing about efficient diplomacy and wanted to be the head of everything .........sartaj aziz is good but he is very old .........we need new blood which is really very very sharp in diplomatic norms under the guidance of sartaj aziz .......
i thought our whole diplomatic teams and army would go and negotiate on other matters too ...... but this seems a low level visit to discuss afghanistan and taliban ........if only we have a separate desk for afghan affairs and people who understand the matter personally .

Fully support the idea of sealing the entire border between AFG / Pak and Iran / Pak. Secure borders contribute to better security. Only certain entry points should be opened to allow Afghans entry into Pak as long as they have all relevant paperwork and I'm sure Afghans would wan ly the same with Pakistanis entering AFG.
