Isn't this India's strategy? Before the war, they supported Soviet-backed Afghan strongmen who spent their time assassinating their rivals, torturing political activists and at time sending forces to destroy entire villages? After the Soviet withdrawal, they supported the same strongmen who were now backed by religious fundamentalists, drug traffickers, and warlords. After those strongmen failed, the Taliban took over, and then was overthrown, they went back to supporting them again. Heck, India's usual tactic of explosive defecation, farts and moaning would have been better than what they were doing for the last few tactics. Maybe India isn't the one doing the learning here.

What better argument. ... ant we live in nation states not some unified brotherhood union... anyway the thread is not about that ....I have no issue if your heroes are turkish, libiyan or Afghans but I wonder do they take Pakistanis as their heroes.
