Traveler in Kashgar experiences the locals celebrating Eid al-Adha 2023 in southern Xinjiang
Deeply touched by the elated festive atmosphere everywhere

.
During Eid al-Adha, it's a tradition that every family slaugthers some sheep, so in Xinjiang Eid al-Adha is also known as 宰牲节, livestock slaughter festival.

In rural Xinjiang villages, many villagers don't like to slaughter their own livestocks, so they just go to a village market to buy some sheep for the festival.
This local village girl says that during this time of the year, it's a very common scene in Xinjiang to see traffic police officers runniing around chasing sheep on the loose on the roads and even highways.

In the end of the video the girl and her whole family wish a happy Eid al-Adha to her subscribers.

And that exactly isnt how Eid is celebrated, CCP needs to be reminded while making propaganda that every 'festival' is not about naach gana.

That's what Eid has been celebrated for hundreds of years in Xinjiang, check " old photos in Xinjiang" on google. You believe people everywhere have the same customs and traditions?

Eid isn't celebrated exactly the same way everywhere.
Eg.

Hopefully these sheep won't run into neighboring Afghanistan and step on a landmine.
