Hello, Good Afternoon

I am visiting Amsterdam on 12th of July 2011 and wanted to know if any of you know any good attractions in Amsterdam? I googled everything but none of the places looked attractive to me :(

From Amsterdam I will continue my trip towards Brussels, Barcelona and eventually reach in Paris on 16th of July and back home on 18th.

But I do know some good places already in other destinations so if someone could recommend me attractions in Amsterdam (or other above mentioned destinations), I will be very thankful to you.

. . .
Amsterdam has double Decker trains....and the only other thing i can think of is the Green light area? or is it red?..Tulip season is over or not..i dont know..but if tulip season is still on you can visit those vast tulip fields unique to holland...and if you are techy...you may visit those world famous swiveling flood gates...once again unique to holland..

Brussels will be boring..unless you are interested in old buildings and medieval architecture...

Paris disneyland...a must go...

Yes I think Keukenhof Garden must be open by now - its only summer and that is in my list :D
Edit: Keukenhof Garden is closed :(

Good idea about visiting Swivel Flood Gates - i may pay a visit over there

Well I love historical buildings and architecture

One of my friend suggested this to me

Grand Place, Mini-Europe(next to Atomium) Antwerp is 30 min by train from brussel and have few good places...Brugge is hour from brussel by train and its mini Venice....train is cheap in Belgium.

and I am planning to follow his words
Paris disneyland...a must go...

Well I have been to Paris before and still not decided about Disneyland. I loved Versailles Palace and Gardens, Louvre Museum and few other attractions in Paris. Hopefulyl this time I would be visiting Catacombs, Centre Pompidou and few other places

Want to recommend anything except Disneyland?

I went to Scheveningen last summer about thirty minutes from Amsterdam, we stayed at the Carlton Beach Hotel.
It is fun in the summer, a carnival atmosphere with lots of parties along the beach and good sea food.
There is a nudist beach near the hotel frequented by old people if that sort of thing turns you on :cheesy:

.
When i was in Paris i went straight to eifel tower and that grand museum where monalisa is on Display...You should have taken those guided tours round the city? which is a one off..once you done it you dont want to do it again...Try the aviation museum? Shanzelize? if you buy top brands..i sprayed some expensive perfumes on my shirt apart from Phoondee...didnt buy anything

Musee de l'Air et de l' Espace - Paris-Le Bourget - France

Antverp has a Madam tasauds museum..it was 10 dollar entry when i visited and arnold schwaznegar was at the entrence...and overall was interesting..dont know now..

Thanks DBC

did not know about Scheveningen, I just Googled it and loved the beach. The water is not that clean but the environment around looks amazing. Will definitely go there :yahoo:

ahh I can only wish for it. I am going with a friend who wouldn't mind visiting such places but then my brain/Soul does not agree with the heart and then I have to compromise on my feelings

Thanks for the advise but wouldn't go on Nude zone

Thanks will definitely (hopefully) visit that aviation museum and thanks for the link too

I have been to Mona Lisa's Louvre Museum already and that was a wonderful experience (might visit again)

well Madame Tassauds in Amsterdam didn't look that good to me... London has the best version and I have been there for many times. Might consider visiting in Amsterdam too

you are right and of course she would also be aware of

There was a nudist beach in Oslo, Norway as well and I used to read that board almost everyday hehehe (but never attempted to go in)

unlike popular beliefs ..its not just the young beautiful girls running around nude on those beaches,,its also those old and fat and ugly hairy type..which will put you off as much as the young perky types turn you on...so the net effect is zero...
Many nudist beaches are family beaches with parents coming with their children and all nude..and thats very shocking from our point of view...

Not really, I went for a jog every morning along that stretch of the beach fully clothed.
No one really cares, besides some of my French uncles, aunts and cousins are fully nude
at home so nudity does not really bother me.

yes but you didn't enter the beach - you were jogging only on the shores of nudist beaches

I know I won't be going there but definitely if I had - that would be wonderful / life experience
