you don't get it , that service could not be used for spying anything , only for fine tunning the equipment to work efficiently after installing them and huawei patched them one year after installing the devices and your first argument don't even need answering.You are explaining the obvious. Huawei is not trustworthy for two reasons: 1) it is chinese controlled and 2) they have , as in this case, been secretive and came clean only after being exposed.
on second thought they are far more trustworthy than Cissco and microsoft and Intel and AMD with their hardware and core level back door that they still shamelessly refuse to patch
