Hello Friends,

I am travelling to Berlin on 17th of July 2012 so would highly appreciate any travel advice for this wonderful city of Europe. I have not been to Berlin before so consider me naive when giving any tips for Berlin. The most important suggestion you can give right now is by suggesting an area where I can book my hotel. Any hotel recommendations is not necessary but if you know any budgetary hotel for economical person like me - I may follow your advice.

hope to receive useful advice for attractions in Berlin as well as hotel booking

Thanks

.
Friends, please help as I need to book the hotel within a day or two

I know we have many members here who has visited Germany or living in Germany

.
Would love to help, but haven't lived in Germany since before the wall fell, but I will give the thread a bump.

Thanks, you can tell about 20 years old Germany if you wish

Seems like nobody is interested in giving free advice

I will ask my German neighbor whenever i see her next time...Yesterday i saw her sunbathing and didn't want to disturb her (or she had known i am watching her :D )

Thanks for the link but I am trying to find a review from somebody who has visited Berlin so he could give suggestion by his own experience

I will definitely read the link you posted but personal experience is recommended

I was in Germany for the WC few years back but my uncle delt with the travel side of things so I am clueless on hotel rates etc

Cant help with hotels but i would include the Reichstag and the Brandenburg gate as a must for any one interested in history. I belive the Reichstag is closed for repairs but even a walk around the outside would be worth it.
