Transit without fee granted for transient time!!

. . .
The title is misleading. To the best of my knowledge transit through water ways is there since 1972 with a very low yearly rate which is if I am not wrong around 10 cr taka only. But up to last year transit through water ways was given for 5 year terms but last year government decided to give it on yearly basis. Others can shed more light into it. However as Tripura is a poor state and as most of it's population is Bengali we should not be tough onto them. However to deal with India we should not provide any compromise.

This is water transit and is available since 1972. Nothing new over here but India is trying to get road transit which they have not got yet and not likely to get it in recent future.

Bro read the news carefully, It includes the land part too. How come you go all the way to agartala through water !!!

.
so what ? in water transit , they should give money too

They give only 10 cr taka yearly. Indeed this is a very low figure. But for Tripura through one route they have asked it on humanitarian ground. As Tripura is a very poor state we can help them on humanitarian ground and also for sharing same culture. But when it comes to deal with India as a whole we should not provide any compromise to it.

To the point a policy which has been going on for 40 years is very difficult to stop right way. But government has taken a right decision by not renewing the contract for 5 years instead renew it year by year.

then they should think about our humanitarian on water issue

If anyone wants to do indian dalali they can find many ways including CaPtAiN_pLaNeT justification that its water transit + land. Awami league indian stooge regime also given transit for power generation and construction equipment for free. Next shipment they will come up with new excuse. That is what indian dalals do.

Thank you Hasina jee....:smitten:

then they should think about our humanitarian on water issue

This is upto the Bangladesh government to move the water deal forward. But unfortunately all our successive government has failed into it. On top of it is not a single transshipment issue but a national issue and involve free water flowing continuously. Dirty politics from Mamata spoiled the earlier deals but hope soon the deal move forward.

You are right. It is up to Ashuganj port through water ways and then 50 km by road. Technically Bangladesh government should get at least the handling fee and damage caused to the road. But here India provided the justification for using the road that they have built it. Still are you sure government wont get the handling fee???

This is for one time only not for permanent use. Just for doing math can you tell me what is your opinion regarding the fee that Bangladesh government should charge for the transhipment of 10000 mt ton food grain??

you are taking it too lightly, Remember the tista river cross road was built to give india an urgent transit? now this. Seems like they are exploiting it whenever they need. But our govt is acting like slave to them. You pointed out that this is humanitarian cause, I couldn't stop laughing. IS there any natural or some disaster going on there? Remember the cheating of Indian cruel govt during the CIDR, They promised to sell rice, and then you know what they did. Remember the tista water issue? Its time to take a stand and show this narrow minded fags the MIDDLE finger.
