Traditional hanfu dress revival among China's youngsters

.
Chinese are too pragmatic lol. It's about the continuity of culture. The Malays and Indians in Singapore wear their traditional clothing despite the permanent hot summer, while the Chinese put on the Cheongsam only during CNY. The Japanese and Koreans put on their traditional clothing and celebrate their festivities on the streets, while these have largely disappeared in urban China.

A country with a per capita GDP of only 10,000 US dollars, you should not over-criticize ordinary Chinese people.

Perhaps China should ask Japan to repay the 230 million silver and its interest in the Sino-Japanese War, and then use the money to develop traditional culture!

Chinese can't even recognize Chinese clothing, beating up fellow Chinese in the name of nationalism ironically...

I saw that video, maybe those who wear them don't know, that's Japanese Kimono, but anyway it's not right to do that, almost all Chinese social media comments are against this incident. That's just an isolated incident done by some college securities not by government so don't use it to generalize all China as you claimed.

Beijing Yuyuanta park always sees some people wearing Kimono to take photos this time of the year, no one cares.

I killed your grandfather, then I said that I love to be friends with you.

I killed your grandfather, then I said that I love to be friends with you.
The Japanese kimono originated from the Chinese Tang Dynasty Wufu. During and even before the Japanese invasion of China, when Japanese soldiers unscrupulously slaughtered the Chinese, these Japanese people who wore the so-called kimono originated from the Chinese Tang Dynasty Wufu were nothing but happy and cheered.
We are not opposed to any country, but wearing Japanese kimonos and Japanese military uniforms on the Chinese street is a provocative act,at least for a large part of chineses like (I hate people who wear Japanese kimonos.)
Like you said to the black people in the United States: You are a nigger!

Several points of the incident: 1) Two people dressed in so-called Chinese Tang Dynasty costumes went to Wuhan University to enjoy cherry blossoms. One of them did not make an appointment. According to Wuhan University regulations, no advance reservation are prohibited to enter, and they told them that only one person could enter,but the two insisted on going together and insulting the security personnel of Wuhan University;
2) A female security guard from Wuhan University gave a six-minute persuasion to the two men. The two were unwilling to accept it. They insist on going to Wuhan University campus to enjoy cherry blossoms together and insult the female security guard of Wuhan University. One of them also stepped forward to take provocative actions,
3) The female security guard called several male security guards from Wuhan University and once again told them that only one person could enter. The two were unwilling to accept it. They still insist on going to Wuhan University campus to enjoy cherry blossoms together and insulted once again the security personnel of Wuhan University,Security personnel then took mandatory evictions on the two men;

4) After staying at the university entrance for 15 minutes, the two left the Wuhan University campus of Wuhan University.
5) The focus of this incident is not on the so-called Japanese kimono or Tang Dynasty costumes. As far as I know, most Chinese netizens support the forced evictions taken by security guards.

The original title of this incident was: Because there was no appointment and planned to rush into the campus, the security personnel of Wuhan University forced the two troublemakers to leave the school.

In some Western media eyes or those that feel that China is always with negative news,it becomes like this :
China University security personnel beat campus visitors who wear Chinese traditional clothing
/ChinaWuhan University security personnel willingly commited crimes and beat the visitors.
/ Chinese police hands-on beat university campus visitors
/ Chinese police hands-on beat campus visitors wear Japanese kimono

I)Just like the Xinjiang Poverty Alleviation Project (Xinjiang Difficult Mass Training and Employment Center), in the eyes of some Western media and some people who always look at China with a negative attitude, I am afraid it is even more terrifying than Nazi Germany's concentration camps and gas chambers.

III)We Chinese are used to it.
One million Chinese eat dog meat. In the eyes of the Western media: 1.4 billion Chinese eat dog meat, and dogs will be extinct because of the Chinese.
There are also China's refusal to accept garbage. In the eyes of the Western media: the Chinese have adopted a barbaric decision to refuse to accept foreign garbage, and countries around the world will be exposed to garbage.

. . .
do not care really.
Any disputes over entrance rules should be handled by the management, NOT the security guards.
The security guards are just doing their jobs according to their instructions.

What if a serious incident happened due to the guards allowing an unauthorised entry?
The guards did right in these times of heightened security all over the world.
Better act stupid and be SAFE rather than SORRY.

An example, but maybe not a good analogue.
In old public buses passengers cannot easily access the driver compartment.
New buses are open and friendly but that made it possible for an irate woman passenger attacking the bus driver and send the bus plunging into the river killing all 13 recently in China.

We have come to accept many additional inconveniences due to heightened security because of rising violence and terror incidences, especially at airports.
These 2 crybabies just cannot accept additional personal inconvenience for more security when it affects them.

Yesterday afternoon I went past Jingshan and Beihia park and see many people, mostly girls wear Hanfu, it's truly becoming a new trend in Beijing, especially around historic sites.

. .
Han and Tang dynasty traditional Chinese court dance in Hanfu in Han and Tang dynasty's capital Xi'an city.

Those dresses looked nice, me being a Chinese (although not living in China) wouldn't go back to them... It takes ages to put one on (trust me, I have tried before) and was not that comfortable. Unless it was for special occasions, I will never do it.
The real ones are made from silk. Those are comfortable.
