The two suspects tried to loot a citizen, Nasir Rehman, however, he took out his pistol and shot at and wounded the suspects, said Superintendent Police (SP) Jamshed Town Tahir Ahmed Noorani.

"Both the suspects died on the spot," he said.

The incident tool place near Khalid bin Waleed Road in the jurisdiction of Ferozabad police station. From their appearances, the deceased looked like Afghans, opined the police officer.

The trader, a resident of North Nazimabad, deals in computer business and possessed a licenced pistol.

The police claimed to have recovered three snatched mobile phones, a 9mm pistol and a motorbike from custody of the deceased suspects.

Two civilians, identified as Ghazi Khan, 26, and Kamran, 35, were also brought with bullet wounds from the same spot for treatment at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), said Dr. Seemin Jamali, Executive Director of the hospital.

Kamran received wound on his abdomen while Khan received a bullet injury on his right leg. However, SP Noorani said that they have no reports about injuries to two civilians.

Meanwhile, the bodies were shifted to the JPMC for postmortem examination where their identity could not be ascertained as yet.

Looks like the people have no choice but to take law in their own hands.

. . . .
Are you sure if this law exists in Pakistan? Here in Australia you are not allowed to kill even in self defence.
brother, there in Australia, the law and order situations are satisfactory or more than it. But in Pakistan, especially in Karachi, there is no rule from government and self defense should be active.
