Tracking Terrorists And Their Supporters Via Facebook

Terrorist groups (Jamaat-ul-Ahrar) involved in recent attacks in different areas of Pakistan have many pages on Facebook. Their supporters profiles can also be seen by clicking on the likes or reactions on the post of those pages. Isn't there any way that our LEAs can track those bastards using their facebook accounts and find their locations and catch them? It is really frustrating to see such pages and their supporters enjoying and celebrating after inflicting huge losses on our people, government institutes and Pakistan as a whole.

There are hundreds of such id's. I wonder when the cyber law will be implemented to capture such rascals.

I don't think reporting such pages or profiles to Facebook can solve the matter. Facebook can at the most block or delete such pages or profiles. The criminals will come up with a new id or page within minutes and again will start their propaganda. I think our LEA's should develop some mechanism to track location of such people. I know it is nearly impossible but many of the terrorists and their supporters are illeterate and dumb; they usually leave behind some vital information that can be used by our LEAs to trace them.

They already have that mechanism ... if you can digout the threads by wiki leaks on the Hacking team you can get slight info ... yes they do have the capability but its a time consuming process and it can not be implemented on large scale when you are already at war.

After all, it is a matter of life and death, no matter how much time consuming the process could be. And maybe even Facebook authorities can help us if our government officially ask them in helping us to track those bad fellas.

The idea is a bit similar like you mentioned but with the mixture of communication specialists
so they may know how a call or data flow occurs E2E after that packet traces and malware injection (RCS) o yield out
data , track and monitor activities , trends and there comms ... using various procedures (even by plane IMSI catchers) they gets near to their target.

This is what I mentioned earlier man. These guys are using Facebook pages and in the past there was one group named as waqar (in Urdu language) they even stated their future attack targets. And our Pakistani brothers would simply abuse in comment section and move on. If I am in Pakistan I would have reported every single page to army helpline for intelligence agencies to take action. But Pakistani general public has to also play part in this war

ISPR helpline is 1135 and 1125 and no code is needed as provided to me by @BHarwana earlier. And these helplines are like tiplines you give information and they take it and process it and act upon it. And these are special helplines created by Military for terrorism related information so.please play your part against these fucked up people
