I have a 2006 Toyota Vitz 1300 (1299cc). Its fast and gives around with occasional AC. 12 km/liter.(high octane will get you around 15) Max speed I have gotten out of it yet is 155kmph.

By occasional AC means if you use AC (Air Conditioner) you still manage to get around 12km/litre. Any activity you do in the car is ultimately compensated by the fuel isn't it? --- You keep the AC on for 6 hours... You get less km/litre - you don't use it.. You get more mileage.

I have a Toyota Yaris Model too... Works like a charm, no problems whatsoever. The parts are also relatively cheap and the mpg is also better than most petrol cars.

There are not many downsides a part from overall appearance of the car which I don't like and expensive road tax in UK but you wouldn't need to worry that if living in Bangladesh.

All Toyota parts are cheap and easily available in Bangladesh for the record. And all mechanics are familiar with them.

If you have a Honda or a Nissan (like me), then you should worry a bit about expensive parts and mechanics not knowing anything about them.

14 lacs? That is cheap. They usually ask for 17 for 1300 CC models. Or is it a used one?

And if I were you, I'd buy the Axio. It is very competitively priced and a no hassle car.

i agree about Axio, even i favor Axio but Dad wants to keep budget within Tk15,00,000

Go for Toyota Vitz 2011 or 2013, one of my daily use vehicles for general duties is Vitz 2013. Bought it for 1.3m PKR including registration it was only 16,000km when I bought it. However I must warn you alot of them imported have been painted i had to look for the right vehicle for more than a month I told one of the showrooms look I shall pay you the right price whatever that maybe just tell me which of these is not repaired and out of 20 he pointed out one of them.

Its a good solid car. It is also a fugly car with no boot. I have driven in Bangladesh, you better not buy a stick shift. Buy the "womens edition" with an automatic transmission.

Most of them are used only a current year 2014/2015 would be new or with very low kms. I bought in 2013 with low mileage. The problem is many are damaged when they come in containers and many are already damaged and painted either in Japans or in Pakistan locally or respective country. Just ask your dealer to sincerely show you the right product for the price identify it to you hopefully they'll show you the one with original color other than that those mild dents/scuffs/scratches are normal alot of products in market to cover it. No idea if vehicles in BD are expensive I find Pakistan very expensive.
