Imran talks threat of default, slams PDM govt’s economic performance​

Accuses media of ignoring important matters such as soaring inflation and threat of default and instead focusing on Toshakhana watch.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday addressed a press conference in Lahore where he compared his government’s performance with that of the incumbent PDM government, as he pilloried the rulers on their economic policies as well as the looming threat of a default.

“The reason of my media talk today is to make the people aware of the direction that our country is heading in,” he said. “If we don’t raise our voice then Pakistan will experience something it has never before and we are going to default. All the funding from abroad will be stopped.

“A default would mean the country’s income in dollars has stopped, and then the rupee will devalue further. The cabal of crooks imposed on us don’t care about any of this. They have been stealing money for the last 30 years. They have stashed huge amounts of money abroad.”

I am certain that the confidence, our army entertains, is not due to their fighting capability. They have none. It is only because of deterrence of nuclear weapon and China, who would never, for her own reason, allow India to capture a part of Pakistan.

Only way Pakistan will change is if the patriots within the Army mutiny or if their is
ever a bloody revolution.

I agree - those are unfortunately the only viable options to remove a fascist Military Junta … but lets hold off on the calls for mutiny and revolution until the results of the next election become obvious and how the Supreme Court handles all the political motivated cases against PTI leaders and supporters prior to the next elections.

And by waiting for the Supreme Court, the expectation is for quick decisions before the next elections and not the usual delaying tactics to prolong these cases on behalf of the corrupt Army and PDM coalition.

Because those by-elections and local elections don’t really change the power dynamic.

The real test will be whether the courts allow all these frivolous cases against PTI leaders and supporters to proceed and whether the PTI is allowed to win the next elections with a massive majority. Even PMLN leaders and supporters in the media will admit privately that the PTI will win a clear majority in free and fait elections.
