There is a massive junkyard of Mi17 near Kabul. Cannibalize them. But I think in Qatar Accord they are allowed to have transport helicopter .Talis dont need them anyway

US would rather see these things in Pak's hands than in the hands of Afghan Taliban. It might actually be possible to convince them that it's better if Pak purchases it off of Afghan Taliban.It would be difficult to get post purchase support and maintenance from USA for us.
The saying goes letting Taliban fly helicopter is like monkey fly a helicopter. Most of these equipment will rust if they are not sold out.
