Top U.S. Tech Companies Begin to Cut Off Vital Huawei Supplies

Here is a list of US suppliers to Huawei...

The qualification process for any replacement supplier can take up to one yr but it really depends on the component, be it hardware or software.

During the qualification process, Huawei must divert some of its products to become engineering samples and install with the new components. These items must be marked as 'non-shippable', meaning they cannot go to any customer, even if the item passed all tests. If a particular component is low stock, that does not mean the qualification process of the replacement can be truncated. In manufacturing, there is a little known process call 'run at risk' (RAR) where an experimental product is allowed to ship to customer with the understanding that any defect in performance, appearance, or durability will not be returned to the manufacturer. It is doubtful that Huawei will ship millions of cell phones and computers as RAR products.

So by all means, cheer for Huawei as you are using non-Huawei products to do that.

Yes. China is gonna implode my dear Hindi Bhai. Keep on cheering with your poms poms. Why are you so desperate to prove Huawei will fail? If they will fail, they will fail. The moment you come out with a gazillion explanation on why China will fail shows you arent that confident. Let time prove it. My bet we will emerge stronger. Almost all the components up there has got Chinese equivalents and you know what genius most are manufactured in China anyway.

So maketh his post from a non-Chinese product.

Say whatever you like if it makes you feel better.
Just tell your narcissistic President to raise the tarrif to 1000% and stop whining on Twitter like a shrew. The entire world is sick and tired of this self-indulgent old man.

Chinese keyboard warriors = Black Knight

You mean -- assembled in China. But hey...You can call it a Chinese product if you want.

And the food you eat in a restaurant is also "assembled" there too. Feel free to buy your own ingredients and cook it in your own kitchen. Slave over a hot stove. Clean your own pots and pans.

Too bad for you that I cannot draw pictures. So sorry...
You can try appu.... Your pictures all look like circles going in a circle, much like how you guys talk, and how your head moves

If only that was true.

90% of PCs and laptops are made in China.

First of all, nearly 90% of notebook PCs imported to the US are assembled in China, with Chongqing as its main industrial city for these products.

The vast majority of smartphones too.

Not a big deal to assemble iPhones and PCs. Cheap labor. Vietnam can do it within a year preparation.

You haven’t realized how vulnerable China is.

Should the US ban China computer makers from access to Windows codes, all of them will be driven out of business and will disappear within a year. Huawei is finished without access to google codes.

It's a war on Asia, and if Indian learn this sooner, will be better.

China can do nothing in this case, really nothing!

I can easily make a couple of burgers in my backyard grill, but I can't sell several BILLION burgers a year like McDonalds does.
