Many a times I have seen people ask me which Indian company do you know about or is their any Indian Company which is global ?? So, Here is a list of Biggest Indian Companies, it won't have all but some, which have a remarkable foot print in the world. I am starting in Alphabetical Order, so will take about 10-15 posts to complete.
Adani Group :
Adani Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate company headquartered in Ahemdabad. It has business in Agri, Logistic and Energy Sectors. It is the largest port developer of India (Mudra Port) Which comes in one of the best in world and has worlds fastest coal retraction port, which is supplied automatically to 2 - 10,000 MW Coal Plants situated along the port. India’s largest edible oil brand through a joint venture with Willmar in Singapore, which is exported to 56 different countries, with a larket share of 46%. On 16 May 2014, Adani Ports acquired Dhamra Port on East coast of India for Rs 5,500 crore.
ADANI group manages one management college namely (AIIM) and a medical college, GAIMS at Ahmedabad. Adani recently has bought stakes in US, Australia and Europe for Business expansion and had a revenue of $11.5 Billion last year and employs over 32,000 people.
Aditya Birla Group :
The Aditya Birla Group is a multinational conglomerate named after Aditya Vikram Birla, headquartered in the Aditya Birla Centre in Mumbai India. It operates in 40 countries with more than 120,000 employees worldwide and a Revenue of more than $45 Billion Last Year.
Its manufacturing locations are primarily in India and it owns mines in Australia. In 2007, the company entered into an agreement to acquire the Canadian company Novellis for U$6 billion, making the combined entity the world's largest rolled-aluminium producer. Hindalco (A Birla Enterprise) makes alumina chemicals, primary aluminium, rolled products, alloy wheels, roofing sheets, wire rods, cast copper rods, copper cathodes and several other products, which are exported to 50 different countries.
The Group also owns Ultra Tech Cement which is India's largest Cement Company. After purchasing Columbian Chemical Co., the Group is now the largest manufacturer of Carbon Block worldwide.
The Aditya Birla Group is the world's largest producer of Viscose staple fiber industry.It operates from India, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and China. It owns the Birla Cellulose brand. Apart from viscose staple fiber, the group also owns acrylic Fiber businesses in Egypt and Thailand, viscose filament yarn businesses and spinning mills in India and South East Asia. The group has pulp and plantation interests in Canada and Laos
The group also own IDEA Cellular services.
Aditya Birla Financial Services Group (ABFSG) is the umbrella brand for all the financial services business of The Aditya Birla Group. ABFSG ranks among the top 5 fund managers in India (excluding LIC) with an AUM of USD 23 billion. The Group also runs 45 Schools and 18 Hospitals.

Amul is an Indian dairy cooperative, with a revenue of $3.1 Billion, the company made India the worlds Largest Milk product and Milk Producer. Amul employs over 3.1 Million Households.

Apollo Hospitals is an Indian hospital chain based in Chennai India. It was founded by Dr. Prathap in 1983 and has hospitals in India, Sri lanks, Bangladesh, Ghana, Nigeria, Mauritius, Oman, Kuwait.
Apollo Tyres :
Apollo Tyres Ltd is the world's 17th biggest tyre manufacturer, with annual consolidated revenues of $5.6 Billion. The company now has four manufacturing units, one in South Africa, two in Zimbabwe and 1 in Netherlands. It has a network of over 4,000 dealerships in India, of which over 2,500 are exclusive outlets.
It gets 62.6% of its revenues from India, 27.9% from Europe and 9.5% from Africa. It is planning to become the 10th biggest tyre manufacturer in the world with annual revenues of $6 billion by 2016. Apollo currently sells 30,000 tyres/month in Europe. The company currently operates one Tyre factory in Europe, in the Netherlands and will make one more in Hungary.
Arvind Limited :
Arvind Ltd. is worlds fourth largest Denim Producers. Today it retails its own brands like Flying Machine, Newport and Excalibur and licensed international brands like Arrow, Lee, Wrangler and Tommy Hilfiger, through its nationwide retail network. Arvind also runs a value retail chain, Megamart, which stocks company brands.
Ashok Leyland :
Ashok Leyland is an Indian AutoMobile manufacturing company . 4th largest manufacturer of buses in the world and 16th largest manufacturer of trucks globally. Operating six plants, Ashok Leyland also makes spare parts and engines for industrial and marine applications. It sells about 60,000 vehicles and about 7,000 engines annually. With a joint venture with Nissan Motors of Japan the company made its presence in the Light Commercial Vehicle.

Asian Paints is India's largest paint company and Asia's third largest paint company, with a turnover of Rs 140 billion. Besides Asian Paints, the group operates around the world through its subsidiaries Berger International Limited, Apco Coatings Limited, SCIB Paints and Taubmans.
