‘50% NRIs want to return’

The United States may experience reverse brain drain as thousands of Indian IT professionals contemplate returning to India, according to a survey conducted by Corp-Corp.com, a US-based technology job portal. The finding was based on a survey of more than 1,000 survey respondents of Indian origin, nearly half of which were IT professionals.
About 50% of the respondents have plans to return soon, while 6.4% of them have already returned to their homeland. Survey participants included permanent residents, US citizens and work visa holders. 51% said their decision was based on wanting to rejoin family and 26 % cited better opportunities as the reason to return to their homeland.

Around 10% are planning to return for they believe their kids will get a better education in India. “The results are very important for American businesses because they may face challenges in filling the gap of these resources,” said Prabakaran Murugaiah, CEO of Corp-Corp.com. “Businesses cannot replace an experienced workforce overnight,” he said.

The survey results show 69% of visa holders and 57% permanent residents or citizens intend to return. These are some of the motivation to return to India: Nearly 51 % for the return is rejoining their family members in India; 26% for better opportunities in India.

Only 3% say they are returning due to job loss. Around 10% are planning their return to provide better education to their kids in India. There are about two million Indians in the US.

NRIs can take the 'brave step' of returning to India as they already have the 'insurance policy' called US citizenship in their hands. If things do not work out they will board the first flight out of India.

As far as any one who wishes to settle in a foreign country is a traitor. They can go and work for a while, earn some big money and return and help the nation in its progress rather than settling there. Those who settle they have a problem of returning to their mother land.

There is nothing that can not be achived by you are me when some other can do. we contribute to the society we live in, those who take a citizenship in another country do not contribute to the land they were born as they are selfish(not even selfish but selfcentered in accumulating wealth for thier own enjoyment)
I am a working with a corporate sector in INDIA, that has not stopped me from planting 4800 trees in my land and bring them to yield. This is what i feel as a achievement for me. those who have called you so are idiots doing the same monotonus job and sleeping in thier A/C houses and office cabins.

Guys don't get confused with NRI/PIO/OCI etc.
NRI - A citizen of India, holding an Indian passport, but residing abroad.
PIO - A foreign national who has Indian origins or Indian ancestors.
OCI - Overseas Indians who migrated from India after 26th January, 1950, except those from Pakistan and Bangladesh

I've never seen a top American graduate go to India after graduation, they all talk about the excessive corruption & (no offense) fi-lth in the country. Secondly, all the Indians that come from India are desperate to stay inside the US at whatever cost, despite the poor economy here, & when I asked them if they wanted to go back to India, they gave me this look like 'are you crazy'?

So you went out the spoke to each and every one of the graduates in the whole is US ? Really that shows how dumb and hate filled you are. India is growing, learn to live with that.
