Yes its a delayed project .. no one ever said it is nt. Its a study platform and has given lots of opportunity to understand the complexities involved in a fighter manufacture and production. And as time passes , we will see an amazing jet for sure from our side.

Here I never meant to be sarcastic when I mention its a delayed project ... as we all know about the sanctions or else super 7 project would be out in early 90s so same happens to India but its not like past and that might bring out some different results as we saw world is ready to embrace India due to its booming economy so results might be different but still quiet early to say ny thing ... and yes this is very true you people have must learned a hell lot of techs while making this aircraft regardless what its become ... and as time passes I am sure that tech will be matured and LCA may evolved if given a chance ...

LCA Aircraft at one time was an Important Project for Indians as We Had No Other Choice after Testing Nukes, We Werent Getting any Technological Assistance From Any Country , Even the Hands Of USSR were Tided by the Others.... We Had Only One way , Develop and Aircraft which Would Suffice Our Needs Before Our Mig 21's Get Obsolete, Years Passed USSR was No More, A New Era Began , Russia , France Began Selling there Aircrafts Such as Su 30 and Mirage...

Then The Govt turned the Indigenous Project into a Technology Demonstrator project which is Being developed to Learn, In 2006 The AMCA Project was Undertaken to Make a Future generation Aircraft In the Lines Of LCA....

LCA Is Not More than a Technology demonstrator, It took time In Just Upgrading it to Modern 4th Gen Standard....

And More over Govt did Not Have Adequate Funds to Push Forward this Project in the 90's....

This Is the Story of LCA.... But We learnt the Technology and Other Critical Stuffs which Only a Few Countries are Specialized in....

IMHO they have not taken F-22 as an adversary cause its the aircraft from same side ... just thinking like that ...

About JXX Let it come out then we ill see ...
