Looks like your are correct up to some degree ... even in this link they are not categorizing cities by size,
here is another link The World's Most Polluted Cities which looks correct , but again criteria for pollution is different for every survey..
One can do survey about Land pollution or water pollution or Air pollution .. or all of them

I remember mostly top 10 polluted cities threads are made to point out that enemy nation is so bad. Ignoring that pollution is universal phenomenon, and places having most development are the ones that are most polluted.

certain areas of mumbai are polluted but entire mumbai is not so much polluted...mostly because our local suburban rail network which is used by more than 6-7 million people everyday..

The survey was done by WHO which was published last September. It sure has some credibilties. Iran is on the hitman's list.

I think the administration of Karachi should initiate a proposal to private firms for lifting trash from all over Karachi and then separating all of its consitituents to recycle them and you know that the most bad part of the trash i.e: the organic one can be utilized to produce gas and its further waste can be sold on high price in local as well in international market as Organic fertilizers that can fertile any land in few moths or years.

no i havent been there but whenever i see it on news or on tv, there is so much traffic and pollution that it feels that you cant breathe.
