Top 10 most peaceful countries of 2011

Why the Nato countries are Green, as we speak they are whole heartedly dropping bombs on Libya. Nato is basically 'all for one and one for all'. At the very minimum UK, France , Spain is vigorously and willingly bombing a country that has not attacked them in any away.

This list is the work of some seriously twisted mind.

Top 10 most peaceful countries of 2011

According to the Global Peace Index 2011 published on May 25, Iceland, New Zealand and Japan are the most peaceful countries around the world.

Published by the Institute for Economics and Peace, the Global Peace Index is the world's leading measure of global peacefulness. It gauges ongoing domestic and international conflict, safety and security in society, and militarisation in 153 countries.

It's made up of 23 indicators, ranging from a nation's level of military expenditure to its relations with neighboring countries.

The data also comes from various sources, including the International Institute for Strategic Studies, the World Bank, various bits of the UN offices and Peace Institutes and the Economist Intelligence Unit.

In this year, the list has seen the world become less peaceful for the third year in a row - and highlights what it says is a continuing threat of terrorism.

  1. Iceland
  2. New Zealand
  3. Japan
  4. Denmark
  5. Czech Republic
  6. Austria
  7. Finland
  8. Canada
  9. Norway
  10. Slovenia
China is the most peaceful country in the world :smitten:

This is more like a list of the countries who got their whooped during the World wars or are geographically isolated! Canada as always is always Canada! :coffee:

It's interesting that all of the countries on the top ten are protected by the USA. They all owe their enjoyment of "peace" to the military men and women of their friend, the USA.

I guess the domestic violence is a little high in Switzerland?

Mods are probably too busy giving out infractions right now. PDF has at least tripled in membership in the past two weeks or so.
