My point of view is that the mosque should be so apart from each other that the voice of athan of one mosque should not reach to other one. There should be a proper Area described by the development authority.
I am living in urban area where every mosque is unique and beautiful. And according to Islamic view.Mosque should be simple so it will not attract anyone and will not interrupt in prayers.
Some one pointed out that mosque are being used by extremists but this is not exactly right. Laal masjid incident was just because of some personal issues of Imam e Masjid and Government. And it was not fair though. We negotiated a lot but in vain. Operation was last option..
In urban areas all Mosques are registered with Development authorities and in Villages they have a simple way of life. I visited many villages and i saw that they constructed simple mosques for offering prayers.
