Just because we can, doesn't mean we will. Do you also doubt our ability to win against Vietnam? Yet we made no moves. They don't have a defence treaty with US, if you must go that route.
I understand the skepticism, and the pride really. You feel India has made advances and it should be behind in fact it could be ahead in a few fields.
Well that's how we feel with the US, but facts remain facts.
Just look at what India is doing and what China is doing, India is still testing and tendering artillery, tanks, normal rifles, and things of that nature.
But if you feel India can defeat China, then I have really nothing to say, other than if nothing else is an indicator of military might, would spending be it? The more you spend the more you can do that's not me talking, that's the money talking.
then in the future just have discussions with countries and people you have an advantage over, Africa seems a good starting point, but avoid Botswana.
Money can talk to a certain extent only, we are building our defence against China not offense, remember, defense is much cheaper than offence and remember we are not called a major military power without a reason.
You attack us and you will get much more than just a bloddy nose, this is also a fact. This fact if better understood will be better for all sides, we are not asking China to settle for less, what we are pushing for is to demarcate clearly L.A.C which will reduce this jingoism and our wild media in turn making people more agreeable to China as a partner.
In any case China as a country would most probably be better off without the ill will of 1.2 billion people.
