To end loadshedding is not possible: Naveed Qamar

This is just bunch of lie spread across Pakistan by PPP guys, so there will be no blame on Zardari.

possible, but to me its not a lie, because it is quoted by so many journalists, that are not pro-pppp, like I said Zardari government doesnot pay either...they keep us engage in petty issues of loadshedding etc so that we dont question them on national and international issues.

.
Musharraf regime didnt pay the companies their dues... the dues fell upon Zardari government, and they also dont pay, so if you protest, government pays and awam gets electricity.

Oh come on. Don't tell me you believe in this sh!t. :hitwall:

.
So how was it possible when Musharraf was ruling???

There was nearly no powercuts(sometimes even in Rain) in 2005-06 & 07.

It is due to Zardari, he wants his share of money in any new project, so thats the reason no new project to generate electricity will start during his tenure.

econ 101 mate, the demand was much lower in those days, when the US dollars started coming in, it led to economic growth of pakistan resulting in higher demand in power. unfortunately plans were not put in place to build new power plants to meet projected future demands thereby eating into the surplus power.
you ought to know this if a lowly non-pakistani hindu knows this.

To end loadshedding is very possible sir but to end your stupidity is not. Make me a minister for a term and I will show you.And that is without asking a penny from treasury. If you cannot afford something, all you need to do is let forigen companies come in and improve the quality of grid and generation.

^bozo bhai, the last time foreign companies came and invested in the power sector, the courts voided their contracts and threw them out of the country. trying to bring them back is a going to be a big mountain to scale. but i hope things get better nonetheless

.
My father works in the Pakistani Power industry. New projects that did come up and online, have no fuel....gas or oil to run their plants....because the PSO (shyt company) cannot provide enough.

Like seriously....wtf.

It is called investment by appointment.. Forigen firms make JV with local companies or invest on their behalf to satisfy the law. Works all the time in KSA and Dubai. The local nominee makes 2-3% on total turn over without investing a penny. Every government has a right to feel insecure in the light of their vital assests being seized by forgien firms and bugged for future political leverage.\

Karachi alone generate enough sewrage to power all of its industrial units however we like to dump millions of people excraments in the sea and poison innocent fish!

I don't know if you are referring to Pakistan or India.

If you are referring to Pakistan, that is pure bullshyt.

Courts didn't do anything, there are a number of Multi-National companies running power plants in Pakistan.

In fact the two largest thermal ones, Hubco and Kot Addu power (kapco) are being run by a company that operates in many other countries.

Umm, just don't post what you don't know.

Makes threads confusing for people who are just viewing them and/or don't have access to direct/correct information.

some cases you can look in to on whom I based my previous comment

Hub Power Company Ltd. Vs. Pakistan WAPDA (PLD 2000 SC 841)

M/s Eckhardt & Co. Marine GmbH Vs.Muhammad Hanif (PLD 1993 SC 42).

Hitachi Ltd Vs. Rupali Polyester(1998 SCMR 1618.)

I found them on Pak Supreme court's website.

Don't make me & others laugh, the economy growth rate of Pakistan was somewhere near 8.2% annually during Musharraf rule, Zardari came & this rate falls to 3.8 than 3.6 & now below 3%. Many foriegn companies invest in Pakistan during Mush rule but now alot of companies had been closed & many want to exit as fast as possible, so there should be alot of electricity, as there is no consumption due to many companies & industries are closed.
