You mean mullahism not sect. The issue is the molvi lot act like they know it all and make major mistakes, the same way the seculars talk about Islam but make big blunders and then people like Tlp come in to being.

You realize TLP represents ( or has the same background as ) the brelwi section of population which is roughly 85% of the sunni Muslims in Pak.Deobandi is the second largest section afterwards and Taliban are their offshoots. But in reality, they share a similar hanafi ashari background.

In short, they ain't going anywhere

Hanafi, shafi, maliki are not sects but schools of jurisprudence and their differences of opinion is a source of mercy for the ummah. They are all part of the mainstream Islam

The actual sects are Shia, Mutazali, khwariji, jammi, Qadriyya ( not to be confused with Qadri ), Murji etc . Sect by definition isn't included in the mainstream Ahle Sunnah wal Jamah

Ive personally read some of their claims , the utterance of even a fraction of which would lead a mob to lynch anyone, but their mullahs instead of rejecting such " mystic " nonsense defend it from the pulpit ------.

If some sufi figure has made mistakes then they have made mistakes. Noone is denying that. The people who are against sufi people consider Ali Hujveri Ra as non Muslim, these are the same people who were responsible for the bombings, they think Pakistan has become Muslim in their time and from 1000 years back it was people of shirk. So I think its better to stick to politics rather than go in to people beliefs.

Hanafi, Shafi Maliki Hambali etc are not sects, they are just branches. It like Fiqh, Seerah, Morals, History etc. They are just branches.
They all follow Quran and Sunnat in their own opinions.

(using your own formula,) Shia is not a sect but a mazhab, it is a misnomer for Jaafari Muslims. and is a distorted abbreviation of Shian e Ali.

BTW. sect; school of thought/fiqh; mazhab are synonyms, ipso facto hanafi, maliki et. al are all sects
