You have very little to do with this guy, Tipu was a powerful Muslim ruler who promoted Indo-European and Afro-Asiatic languages (Urdu, Farsi and Arabic). He didn't promote Dravidian languages and he wasn't a Hindu. In fact, I doubt he even had a rather positive view of either.

You guys need to get out of this ethnic based mindset, it's truly backwards and just plain stupid. Just because someone is the same ethnic group as you doesn't mean they should be your hero. Ideology is what really counts, and how much they actually impacted you as an individual.
