This is a misleading article. The 11/year is an artificially low production rate to keep the line open and thus can be expanded in time should the situation occur where UAE, Qatar and India have Rafale orders..

11 is not the max number it can be increased to 2/3 per month .

Additionally as per the RFP the first Rafales would have to reach India within 36 months so there is absolutely no danger to India if others sign up, this is just a scare tactic.

i am not bothered about 1st rafale coming to india but entire squadron by 2018
which looks little difficult for dassault to deliver by that time if we delay to sign the deal & by that time more contracts dassault get

Don't worry, by end of March this year you will know for sure that rafale has be cancelled. Then IAF can start executing plan B by ramping up Super 30 and LCA.

I do hope IAF has entered into parallel negotiations with HAL regarding increasing their production capacity for Su 30 MKI. Or as usual they are waiting for the shit to hit the ceiling before doing anything about it ?

For sure, by March, Rafale deal going to finalize. There is no mean to cancel the deal.

The Parikkar statement about SU is for diplomatic purpose, and Dassault understand that very much,

Dassault deviating from the tender requirements, for more own benefits. The ToT and offset proposal is ok and already cleared by MoD, but since the end of 2012, they play a game and try to get more out of the deal for them.

I think this has been discussed to death, Dassault will never compromise on what it believes is its fundamental leverage in the deal.
